OK bitter, tastes a touch sweet to me, not a million miles from Old Speckled Hen, malt and caramel prominent, light hops in the aroma.

50cl bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. An amber pour with a ring of white head; caramel aroma with some gentle English hops; malty caramel taste, with a light grassy bitterness; and a lingering caramel finish. A straightforward English bitter.

500ml, bb not discernible on bottleneck, thanks BeardedAvenger for the couleur locale in the EU Swap 09/2016! - Pleasing autumn auburn pour, organically thick creamy foam. Smells like faint chestnut caramels and sweet soy sauce or the chicken broth pack that comes with Asia noodles...umami-sweet and savoury. Nice measured UK (hedgerow/wild) hop bitterness over a very faint caramel malt base. Chestnut furry bitters. Modest, down-in-4-gulps bitter overall, - good thing I happen to be very partial to these modest UK bitters - they donot even have to come with a feather glued to the bottle or cocky innuendo.

jmgreenuk (8807) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 30, 2015
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a nice smooth malt, hoppy bitter, light citrus palate, Medium bodied with average carbonation. As far as session bitters go, this one is pretty good.
