4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I’ve never had a Bell’s I didn’t like, except the Oarsman, which was still okay, so lets see:
-Pours light amber dark yellow traditional pils color with a two finger white head that does not seem to be going anywhere. Lacing sticks around throughout. Aroma is citrus hops and flower bouquet with a faint fishy something going on.
Medium in the mouth with a heavy strange floral hop, unique kind of IPA approach. Atypical in the fact that it’s hitting you with some hop that is not common, and reminds me of tangy fruit like grapefruit but not, a flowery feel like the tang of a dandelion stem, but not. Hard to peg. Flowers and fruit. Little oily in the finish, resolving to hops on the tip and alcohol in the back. I like it. I like Bell’s. Bravo, good sirs.

Two Hearted pours out of the can a light copper with creamy white, frothy head. Aromatics are initially bready with raisins and some floral notes hitting as well. Light to medium mouthfeel gives way to an abruptly sweet IPA. The bitterness subtlety arrives and lingers after the finish. Really well balanced, some earthy hop flavor in there too. Hype is met. Well done.

Great taste with just the right touch of hops and fruitiness. I would definitely have this one again!

Advertised as an Ale, but it is an IPA. I'm not very fond of hoppy beers. Carmel color.

12 oz bottle from backlog during a Belgium trip. Deep golden with white head. Aroma and taste are hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, fruit, bready malt, caramel and earthy notes. balloonbuffoon (382) - - JUL 25, 2017
Draft pint to a pint glass (also I’ve had from bottle and can). This is about as perfect as an American IPA can get. Pale in color with decent head retention, and possesses a sweetly-bitter, juicy floral aroma. Feel is a bit slick, moderately bitter - held in check by a supportive malt sweetness. Tangerine is main flavor, and the palate carries it well. I don’t believe in seeking out IPAs, because compared to others in quality (IMO) the difference is negligible.
