Pours a slightly cloudy, bright, golden orange color with a finger length white head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves a thick blanket of lacing. Smells of dank hops. Get grapefruit, tangerine, spicy pine, lots of floral, maybe some lemon. Get a faint hint of breadiness and carmel from the malt, but is definitely overpowered by the hop qualities. Taste starts with an abrasive bitterness along with some grapefruit, tangerine, and floral. Then get a little more malt than the smell suggests. Slight sweetness as well as some bready qualities to somewhat balance the hops. Then the finish returns the abrasive bitterness along with spicy pine, grapefruit, a little orange, floral. Get almost a bubblegum finish when it warms due to the malts starting to show though. The carbonation level is high, which somewhat neutralizes the resinous hop qualities and makes for a much more smooth and refreshing IPA. Medium body with a creamy and clean mouthfeel. This is a classic "hopheadís" IPA.
Draft at Margaritaville at Universal Studios Florida. Mostly clear, amber color with a little white head. Piney and fruity aroma. A fruity sweetness up front with a medium bitterness in the finish. Nice.

Amber pour with a thin one finger head. Aromas of malt, pine and citrus fruits. Initial taste of lemon, followed by a sweet malty body; flavors of apricot, orange and peaches. Medium body with a crisp creamy mouth feel. Strong hop character with a semi-sharp bitterness and a bitter dry finish. I love this beer. One of my favorite IPAís. apopielarz (7) - - JUN 18, 2017 does not count
Good enjoyable, drinkable American IPAA could be a little higher on hops in the flavor.

I do not like IPA's. However, if I were to drink one, I would drink this one.

I rarely drink any of the bitter side of beer, IPAís. I did find this one passable. Was not overpowering JohananaV2 (60) - - JUN 8, 2017
Wow what a good beer. I can't believe that I haven't had it before. What a secret IPA, if you haven't had it yet get it immediately

Beautiful cloudy golden color with a nice thick foamy head. Taste is straight forward IPA with medium to strong taste if hoops, followed with hints of citrus, pine and spruce. Great tribute to the great UP north river after which it was named. One of the great beers of Michigan!
