I was very impressed with this beer. I thought it had a nice, inoffensive taste with a pleasant smell. To be honest I couldn’t pick out any particular flavors or aromas (I’m embarrassed to say). But it was a tasty beer anyhow. Definitely going to go pick up some more of this lovely beer.
Don’t know why this is listed as retired - they still make it in both bottles and on tap at a few places. I’ve had this on tap a few times at Cousin’s in Winnipeg. Not the worst lager, drinkable but pretty unremarkable. Plain, boring, a little sweet. Tastes remarkably like Fort Garry’s pilsner... Hmm. cards04 (2827) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 17, 2013
Pours a pale yellow - nice and bubbly on the tongue. Aromas of apple and butter. Similar flavours. Goes down smooth, though. Good enough swill to wash down burgers and hotdogs. reebtogi (6326) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 10, 2012
341ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a small white head that settles to leave no lacing. Aroma is grainy and grassy. Taste is grainy malt sweetness with a lingering grassy hop bitterness which is not too pleasant. Below average lager and not recommended. Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 23, 2012
Brown plastic 710mL pop bottle, this can’t help but be awesome. Pours clear yellow, thin white head, which immediately dissipates, no lacing. Nose is conspicuously absent, with some vague grain and sour fruit. Flavours of cream, popcorn, wow this kinda tastes like onion dip. A crime against humanity. northropfrye (3659) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 2, 2011
Bottle. Nothing too spectacular here, a pretty typical pale lager. The only note-worthy element here is a slightly sweet malty flavour.

Bottle. 5%. Clear yellow pour, with a hardly existant white head. Aroma is sweet fruits (apples) and grains. Taste is pretty grainy, with nothing remarkable on the finish. Almost a dry champagney feeling mixed into a pale lager. Strange. DuffMan (10549) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 19, 2008
Clear straw gold, brief white head that vanishes completely after about a minute. Sweet grainy aroma, same on the palate. Unremarkable at best. bweezy (53) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 12, 2008
Pours a clear gold, average head. A slight nutty after taste - this beer would be better if the after taste was fuller.
