COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Renowned for their Belgian farmhouse ales, good friends Phil Markowski and Belgian brewer Yvan de Baets teamed up to make this Double Grisette. This beer has the malted wheat base generous hopping of this bygone Belgian style but adds a twist: two different yeast strains were used, a wild yeast from Connecticut and a traditional Saison yeast from Belgium. The result is a dry, fruity, and aromatic farmhouse ale with a genuine Belgo-American Pedigree.

De La Senne brewed. From Etre. Pours unclear orange with a fluffy, white head. Floral and grainy with some lemon, very light hoppy pine. Grassy, clean and fruity. Dry peppery, bitter finish. Elegant and rustic.

Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

330 ml bottle from Etre Gourmet, bottled 27 Jun 17.
Yellow, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of flowers, grains, bread, dough, fresh herbs, some spices, some lemon, some sweet fruits.
Tastes similar, with more hoppy, piney notes.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes dry, bitter, very hoppy, lingering piney, floral, a bit grainy, subtly sweet.

Very quaffable stuff. Fresh and crisp, with lovely floral and hoppy notes throughout. Has also some elements of a Pils, which are definitely an advantage here, leading to even more crispness. Lovely hoppy Saison I could drink all day.

Bottle @ Beer Planet, Brussels. Pours Hazy deep amber with a creamy head. Elegance is an understatement. Soft floral hops, Tasty yeast, pomelo and grass and a touch of biscuit. Bitter finish. Prefer this over 99,9 % impys or IPA's out there..

Passable saison without any Ww.

33cl brewed at DLS, not sure why it's set on the US version. BB 27/6/2018, bottled 27/6/2017.

Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is very fruity: pineapple, lychee, honey. Light to medium-bodied. Pineapple. apple, yeast fruityness, hops. Underlying funkyness. Sweetish fruity brew. Tasty as such.

@ BXL Beer Fest. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Typical dry and grassy taste of de la Senne. Easy drinkable, rather lively carbonation.

10/09/2017 @ home - 33cl bottle from Malt Attacks. Clear orange with big white head. Nose is malts, lots of fruits, some spice. Taste start sweet malty, bit spice, bit bitterness. Less in your face than the usual De La Senne, but nice however.
