2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Crisp amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light squash, spices, grain and a bit of caramelised sugars. Medium-bodied; Strong rich squash flavours that show some light spicey flavours, a touch of grain and a little yeast flavours - but no real flavours of any barrel aging nor vanilla. Aftertaste shows some thinner malt flavours with no real squash finish, a touch of spices and sugars, but fairly mild, especially for the style. Overall, a pretty mediocre beer for the style, definitely less hearty and flavourful than expected. Not worth buying unless you like lightly spiced brown ales - since this didn’t have any real complexities from the squash or the aging process. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Beverage Warehouse in Winooski, Vermont on 19-September-2016 for US$2,30 sampled at home in Upstate (New Paltz), New York on 24-November-2016 - Thanksgiving!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can pour into shaker pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is cloudy dark orange-brown with effervescent sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width beige fizzy head with fair retention and some nice sudsy, leggy lacing. Aroma is sweet pumpkin spices. Taste is lightly sour initially with middle strong burst of sweet pumpkin spice, faintest notes of oak. Sadly, not getting vanilla or rum. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with slippery texture, lively carbonation and mostly sweet finish. Overall, this is a pretty standard pumpkin brew, despite all of the extras that could have made it really something.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Wine Rack at Yarnton Nurseries, Yarnton, Oxon. Consumed down Merton Village Hall at Shocktober Fest Saturday 29th October 2016 Pours copper with an white head, reasonable clarity, just a bit of haze. Quite the opposite from the Beavertown Stingy Jack in that this has a tart, light sour edge, ok it is a little spicy in the mouth. Its ok but not my favourite. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours an attractive orange amber with thin off-white head that leaves slight skim.
Aroma is subdued, a bit of malt, a bit of spice. Palate is vegetal without being particularly pumpkin, spices with an occasional fizz but without differentiation. Other than a molasses note here and there, the rum barrels contribute wood and alcohol.
The overall effect is not helped by the thin body and some slickness to the mouthfeel. It’s like a diluted Manhattan with an astringent finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark rust orange and brown. A unique aroma of spices, vanilla, and word. A strong rum, okay malt, caramel, vanilla and spice taste. A weak spice and malt aftertaste.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear reddish amber appearance with a white head. Aroma of pumpkin, fall spices, light vanilla, light caramel/toffee, light oak/wood and a hint of rum barrel notes. Similar flavor, rich and moderately spiced with a medium body and a bittersweet finish. Pretty tasty overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the can dated 08/03/16. It was a nice looking pour with its orange-amber tone underneath a long-lasting, soft sitting off-white head. I pick up a little pumpkin spice, a little cinnamon, and a little nutmeg on the nose but the rum barrel aging is also quite noticeable emitting a wooden quality. Medium body. The rum barrel aging makes its presence known more in the taste as I get a definite biting liquor feel over those pumpkin spices. Warming finish.
