3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Authentic Abbey blond (although low in ABV for the style). Yeasty with light citrus, some banana, apricot and apple. Refreshing.
Clove and banana aromas with almost a Lagerish foot funk base beer with a slight sweet maltiness. Taste is a light easier drinking beer with lager funkiness to it as well as some spice, clove predominantly. My initial thought was I couldn’t drink more than half the 22oz bottle, but a few ounces in it is more likeable. Very simple Belgian style and there isn’t a whole lot going on in the beer, but the lagerish foot funk base detracts, but it is drinkable. jgb9348 (6434) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 29, 2016
Crisp, very slightly hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a touch of an off-white head. Aroma of yeast, light malt, a touch of hops and a good deal of bananas and fruit coupled with some significant bread notes. Light to Medium-bodied; Nice deep malt note with some yeast up front, a bit of grass and hay dryness, all finished by some balanced fruit and sweet elements throughout. Aftertaste shows some yeast flavours, a bit of light malt, a touch of sweetness, but also more spices than anything else with the coriander seed and light curacao also noticeable. Overall, a nice belgian single with some good flavours and a nice profile - good to sample on tap at the brewery! I sampled this four ounce [portion of flight] pour from draught at the brewery in Connecticut on 27-July-2016 for US$12,00 (for five pours). WillRunForBeer (2728) - Massachusetts, USA - JUN 21, 2016

Big thanks to gregwilsonstl for sharing this one with me. Pours light hazy golden yellow with a white head. The aroma has pale malt, spice, dryness and abbey yeast. It has a medium / light body that is crisp with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with crackers, spice, bananas and mild rustic notes. The finish has paper, wood and grass. Good Belgian blonde ale. gregwilsonstl (2615) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 6, 2015
Bam! CT done....with a beer with a Catholic bent, no less! Thx Johnnnniee for helping me cross off my final state!!! Lots of banana and pepper. Cloudy dirty blonde. Dry. Im generally not a fan of Belgians (the beer, I’m fine with the people), but this is pretty good. Enjoyed this as a porch beer. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 3, 2015
This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a transparent yellow color with a slim white level cap of a head that hung around for a good minute. A gentle clingy rim of white lacing sticks around in the wake of the head.
The smell starts off with Belgian spices, light coriander, some citrus, and then some apples, pears and delicate sweet grass.
The taste copies the aroma for the most part, balanced sweet and spicy. There’s a light spicy aftertaste running into a wet sweet to spicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation moves slyly over my tongue in a nice way.
Overall, I’d say this was a nice Belgian pale ale that I could have again, preferably in the Summer. trapped (3484) - New York, TURKEY - OCT 26, 2015
Draught. Clear bright yellow with small off-white foamy head, faint vanilla aroma, high carbonation, characteristic Belgian yeast taste, thin body, medium bitter finish. Quite a good brew. BrewBoxer (2657) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 20, 2015
Draft Amsterdam ale house pours a blonde golden color with a sweet yeasty taste. Easy drinking but nothing memorable
