Bottle direct from the brewery. A very clear, light golden brown pour with a thin white head. The aroma certainly isn’t strong, but there are floral and citrus notes hiding away in there. A clean refreshing medium bitterness in the taste where the slightly floral side of the ale comes through on the palate. A nice session ale for sure, but needs to be a bit more innovative to win prizes. foxo82 (900) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2012

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, bright nuts, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask (GBBF2011, Thursday)
Apple seed aroma. Pungent hoppiness. Big bitter bite. Doesn’t have the balance I like. Seems to just be relying on cascade to make a dull beer interesting. Cascade hasn’t done that for years.
