Can at Turtle Bay, Croydon. Dark brown with a purplish hue, no head. Vanilla, evaporated milk, chocolate milk powder, coconut water in the aroma. Sweetish spicy taste with some sourness nearing the finish. Angostura bitters and blackberry in the aftertaste, along with the gaggle of adjuncts. Weird but competent - more or less. Not sure the 'infusions' work as well as they sound on paper.

Puszka 330ml. Czarny kolor z lekkim rubinowym refleksem. Piana brązowa, palona ,obfita o drobnych pęcherzach, zdobi szkło. W aromacie ciemna czekolada, kakao, lekkie nuty kawowe, trochę wanilii. Raczej słodkawe w odbiorze o niedużym wysyceniu. Czekolada, palone słody, trochę brykietu, wanilia. Bardziej stout niż porter

Pint at White Horse, Parsons Green. Aromas of coffee, chocolate and notes of caramel. Deep black body and beige head. Quite intense taste of black coffee. Palate is OK but the coffee taste is quite rich. OK for one pint but not more.

Great overall condition with nice lacing and chocolate caramel flavours with fruit backbone

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Black with light brown head. Treacle tropical coconut aroma. Taste is more stereotypical of a porter, but still very sweet. Smell is amazing wish i taste like that

Tap. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt, light coconut. Very dark brown with off-white head. Taste is dry, roasted, light bitter. Medium body, dry feel and roasted coconut finish.

330ml can. Pours very dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is yeasty roast, beef and a little vanilla. Taste has chocolate to start and roast and rum on the finish. Vanilla aftertaste.

330ml can. Pours a gorgeous mahogany with dark tan head. Pretty underwhelming aroma, very subtle hints of that rum claim on the can, of course, usual nutty maltiness but nothing special. To taste, however, is a real treat. Big dessert flavour with plenty of coconut, coffee and bready malts. Hops a little fierce towards the end but gorgeous lively mouthfeel with great carbonation that keeps those ’jamaican’ notes alive and sets this porter somewhat apart from average. A Pleasant surprise as I thought the session IPA counterpart was pretty disappointing.

Meget lkker.
