UPDATED: SEP 30, 2007 Pint @ 2Rows Rice Village, HOU: Pours a dark dark brown/blackish color. Nearly no head, but full(maybe bartender wanted to give me more beer). Off-white color. Aroma of fruity malt, strawberry maybe, some kind of berry. Fresh fizzy soda water Taste. Berry fruit again. Clean fizzy aftertaste. Some kind of earthy flavor, not malt, not hops. But kind of watery, not much add’l flavor.
Update 9/29/07 - Appearance of reddish clear color. Very little head, off-white. Malty sweet aroma. Fruity. Soft taste, sweet, same frul.ty, almost like berries. .Some malts, but not too much flavor. Tejas (1006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 14, 2006
Addison location. What an awful beer. No aroma, no body and no flavor. Since this was cask conditioned, although it didn’t taste like it, I thought this had a chance to be above average unlike all other Two Rows brews. It wasn’t. This place actually has good food, sure wish their beers were the same. stison42 (318) - Blacksburg, Virginia, USA - JUN 2, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2007 Red. Caramelly and smooth. Went down almost like a soda and not like a beer, which brought down how good it was. RaginCajun (320) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 23, 2004
An O.K. mid-range beer. Fairly one-dimensional although it looks nice. Not much character here. IDogg (72) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 22, 2004
A nice red ale with nothing too unique about it. Though, on second thoughts it warrants credit for being quality brewed and tastes like special care went into it. As with all Two Rows beer, it is malty and sweet, but not too sweet. The aftertaste is rich yet easily fades. I easily say it is one of Two Rows finest.

On tap in Houston night 2: Beautiful ruby hue with a good creamy off-white head and some lacing. Roasted malt, cherry, light pine, oak are detected in this floral aroma. Tart and smoky initial taste, good balance of hops. Detected some caramel sweetness. Oaky dryness on the finish. Medium-bodied, dry and fizzy mouthfeel. Damn, a well made red, very tasty, I'll have another. Andrew196 (1902) - Katy, Texas, USA - DEC 24, 2002
Deep, cloudy red in color with a thin whispy head. Creamy mouthfeel led to a rather one dimensional taste of wood and sweet tobacco, not bad. As it warmed, the hops came out in the finish which gave it some more points before I put it down. AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - DEC 24, 2002
Hazy red, small head. Not very hop-forward for a cask beer. Very prominent woody maltiness. Nicely textured, something to chew on. Not a world class beer, but for some reason it really clicked with me. uhorpheus (215) - houston, Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2002
Nice red ale. Disappointing head, but nice aroma (bitter, spicy tang). Dark reddish amber color, first impression is that of any typical american red, malty but lots of hops to balance, a little more spice than I expected. I will have to try this one again to really rate it right.
