lucent copper, thin white head, highly effervescent.portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - APR 12, 2010
aroma: caramel, citrus hops.
T1= caramel, rye.
T2= bitter citrus hops, co2.
T3= bitter hop oil, rye spiciness.
the rye spiciness is good, but leaves me desiring a richer and deeper malt character.
12 oz. bottle to tulip glass. Pour is copper orange which appears cloudy and a nice head. Aroma is strong rye and hops which is very nice. Taste is hoppy grapfruit and rye with cinnamon too. Palate is sticky and dry finish. Overall I really enjoy Bitter Old Woman and this one is that much better. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2010
[2825-20100405] 12floz bottle. Breaded toasted grains aroma with muted orange hops and wood barrel notes. Hazy, amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter orange rind hops flavour has wood bark throughout and a long bitter finish. Medium body. Very drinkable, good.

2010-04-05. Lightly hazy orange copper body with a modest beige head and light lace. 3+ Pleasant aroma, hops and caramel touched malt. Light leafy notes and a touch of alcohol. Flavour is similar, modest citrusy hops throughout and a pleasant bitterness, touches of caramel malt, light underlying alcohol note. Pleasant,probably sat in our fridge a bit longer than it should have. Bottle courtesy of brigadier brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 21, 2010
A: A 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass reveals a hazy amber color with a small off-white head.
S: The smell features a lot of tropical fruit and citrus. There is a fair amount of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit. There is also a sweet caramel flavor, along with a mild spiciness on the malt side of things.
T: Despite this beer being several months old, there is still a surprising amount of hop character. The flavor has a very nice bitterness and a mild citrus. The rye lends this beer a nice spicy flavor to go along with the bready malt.
M: The body is a bit thin, but not terrible. The carbonation is moderate.
D: This is one of the better IPAs I’ve had from outside of CA, even at its age. A nice beer that I’m glad I got a chance to try.

Not bad, not great. Poured nicely with a fine foamy off white head and good lace. Color is a very slightly hazy medium amber. Aroma is hoppy fruity, citrus, and wet leather. Flavor’s about the same, but a little too fruity sweet for me. Body is decent and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor and sweet bitter medium long. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2010
Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy dark amber with a thin near white head. Aroma had notes of pine hops with an undertone of rye malt. Flavor begins hoppy with an undertone and finish of rye malt. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JAN 31, 2010
12oz bottle thanks to Diomede. Hazy gold orange with a small head. Crystal malt and light hops in the aroma. Bitter, with some spicy malt flavors and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Has definitely gone off a bit since bottling. Hops mostyle manifest with a string bitterness in the finish, with aroma being a bit muted. Not an IPA that I would reach for over many others, but drinkable. illidurit (2338) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Bottle courtesy Diomede, I think. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma of old hops, grapefruity but dusty. Caramel and crystal malt flavor with a little bit of rye spiciness and a tart citrus character coming through. Medium body and good carbonation. Needs a fresh rerate. Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen. Slightly hazy amber color. Aroma of some toasted malt notes, caramel and piney hops. Bitter resinous flavour with pine, some fruit notes (a bit of grapes) and rye. Medium-bodied.
