2010-04-05. Lightly hazy orange copper body with a modest beige head and light lace. 3+ Pleasant aroma, hops and caramel touched malt. Light leafy notes and a touch of alcohol. Flavour is similar, modest citrusy hops throughout and a pleasant bitterness, touches of caramel malt, light underlying alcohol note. Pleasant, probably sat in our fridge a bit longer than it should have. Bottle courtesy of brigadier triguy84 (235) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Draft in a pint glass. I expected a hoppier aroma and finish. The rye was not overpowering. I will have to sample this one again. 502Che (999) - @, CAMBODIA - JUL 10, 2009
Twistoff (WACK!!) bottle poured into snifter (thanks Skinnyguy!). Nice copper color with an appealing white head that exhibits nice retention and lacework. Aroma is nice (bitter) hops with a bit of rye malt to balance it out, but not as pungent as I was hoping. The flavor is the same. There is a definite resinous and bitter hop presence, but the malt shines through way more than it should in an IPA. Not enough hop flavor - just dry resinous bitterness, a bitterness that they rye adds to in a way that is is pretty 1D and overwhelming. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall: not a bad beer, but a disappointment. angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - SEP 28, 2009
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Clear orangish brown pour. Aroma is soapy, citrus, and malty. Flavor is soap, astringent, grass, citrus, and some sweet caramely malts. DrnkMcDermott (3201) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2009
12 oz. bottle, bottled 08MAY09. Whoops, just ’cause it’s a "Brewers Gone Wild" doesn’t mean this is meant for cellaring. Not at 6%. So let’s pop this puppy. Dark amber/orange color, thin head laces up the glass. Smell is a base APA with a bit of Columbia & Cascade. Taste is full of APA action. Plenty of other spices, some of it from rye, but probably just as much from hops. But a great hop bomb, almost sessionable otherwise.

@ a tasting, Thanks David, pours orange clear with a tan pinkish head, aroma of pineapple and grapefruit, some olives and cinnamon notes, falvor is bitter and grainy, some rye bread can be sensed, orange and orange peels are present as well, finish is bitter, medium bodied, OK. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Thanks to mikey711 for this one. Pours an opaque orange-amber with a small off-white head. Nose is caramel, spice, sour citrus, and prickly rye. Flavor is similar with tart citrus and hop punch in front and in back. White grapefruit all over. Medium mouthfeel and bitter-finishing IPA. Bottle. Pours clear amber with an average, rocky off-white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, citrus, pine), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of alcohol, apple, pear, peach, and pineapple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. ilovedarkbeer (2752) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Notes of skunk, pine, citrus, sweat, earth, and peas. Medium mouthfeel and finish. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 19, 2009
( 12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye, it also happens to have my likeness on it - see my avatar) Pours a rusty orange with nice bubbles. Nose is rye, floral hops. Taste is sweet and malty, some bitter rye on the finish, but quite enjoyable.
