12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small orange glare and a fully gone head. Whisky like and roasted malty aroma. Flavour is sweet malty with a smooth chocolate base. Slight alcohol burn out of the roasted malt and chocolate flavours. Smooth yet warming but not without some edge to it. Ungstrup (38413) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2009
Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of over ripe fruits and a bit of oxidation, leading to a dry fruity finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. 8th September 2008. Soft, slightly silky beer. Starts with a mild coffee tone. Continues with a mildly sour note and ends with a biscuity sour finish. A little sour but not bitter at all. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2008
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Clear warm reddish brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of wood and whiskey. Quite full-bodied with sweetish roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. Bottle at home - 08/06/12 thanks to Sam for an IP trade in Denver.
Pours a very dark brown approaching black but with reddish hues when held to light and with a dirty tan head.
Dark malts, chocolate, molasses on the nose and a whiff of whiskey.
Tastes of burnt caremalised sugars, malt, chocolate and licquorice.
A well balanced beer with a fullish body but very drinkable. Oakes (18851) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 7, 2008
Cloudy dark brown colour. Big toffee aroma with some light rye notes. Soft, sweet body with interesting figgy, rummy notes. Way sweet, but beautiful luscious malts going on and on isn’t really a bad thing in my book. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - OCT 16, 2010
Bottle thanks to Msante79. Pours black with tan head. Nose of cereal, light whiskey, chocolate, rye, coffee and roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, light whiskey, rye, coffee and roasted malts.
