12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with very little lacing head. Heavy brandy aroma with roasted malt note. Brandy chemical alcohol flavour with a persisting roasted malt flavour. End is burned and slight chemical. Not my style, well crafted though. Ungstrup (38380) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 20, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2008 Bottled. A hazy reddish beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, dusty hops, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of over ripe fruit. Travlr (26065) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 19, 2010
Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar - thanks! Clear maroon. Aroma of butterscotch. Taste of caramel and whiskey. Nicely done, considering it was a buck fifty a bottle! madmitch76 (25519) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2010
18th October 2008. Clear brown beer with a creamy head. Mild carbonation. Sweet malty beer - lovely balanced tones of vanilla oak and mild brandy. Semi dry brandyish finish. Very very quaffable! Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, warm, orangey brown with an off-white head leaving a neat lacework. Sweetish aroma of oak and bourbon. Medium body with sweet whiskey notes and some burned caramel. Alcoholic, whiskey-like finish without much bitterness. 171107

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Hazy, amber golden with a fairly small, off-white head. Aroma of bourbon and caramel. Medium body, sweet caramel notes, again some bourbon - but presumably it’s brandy?? The finish is dry and somewhat alcoholic. 8/3/7/3/15=3.6 180907

Dark mahogany color with red shades. The aroma is delicate, it shows evident vanilla. Quite round and smooth mouthfeel, sweet flavor, with sweet caramel and vanilla. Probably a too much sweet (and not complex), but still enjoyable for a late evening.

Cloudy dark amber color. Aroma of malt and barrel. The mouthfeel is very sweet, with good caramel flavor and strong Bourbon vanilla too; and a respectable bitterness at the end, when the alcohol is prickling the tongue. Very good.

Poured hazy dark brown with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Heavy toasted, woody, vanilla and cherry with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration.
This is a standout beer. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 1, 2007
(12oz bottle, thanks chris_o) Small tan head atop lightly hazed copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, brandy, caramel, some stewed peach. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some brandy, light bitterness. Medium-full body, some stickiness. BeerandBlues2 (13802) - Escondido, California, USA - APR 30, 2009
Bottle. Pours dark brown with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toffee, nutty), average hop (flowers, perfume), average yeast (earth, leather, broth) with notes of brandy, oak, plum, and brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. Dogbrick (13748) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 31, 2007
Thanks to MIBRomeo for the trade. This beer pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany color with a medium thick and foamy light beige head that diminishes pretty quickly. Thin top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Wood, malt and touches of alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied with a strong chocolate malt character. Hints of plum, alcohol and roasted malt flavors as well. The finish is chewy with a resonating brandy flavor and a light hops aftertaste. Well done.
