3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured clear black color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate complex toasted resin hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown color with a smallish head. Aromas of dark malts and some citrus and licorice. Licorice carries into the flavors and disrupts things for me. Just ok. 2/13

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Very dark pour with some deep reddish highlights at the edge of the glass. Foamy light beige head. Citrus hop on top of a nice soft roasted malt backdrop. Very good!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black nutty guinness type, but an ipa. Excellent finish and body. Slight bitterness is the only detractor.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black as night. Draft at sheffields. Has a guiness like aroma. Carbonation. Taste is way different though. Super nutty. Has the hops to keep you thinking its an IPA, but teeters on a chocolate stout in my opinion. Very good regardless

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Tyranena tasting room. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark over-roasted malt, nuts, light chocolate and some citrus and pine. A bit chalky with moderate bitterness on the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed at the tap room 12/27. Pours black with a thick light brown head and tons of sticky lacing in the glass, the aroma was of slight citrus but was more roasty than hoppy, the flavor has a roasty front end with a bitter finish of hops, the bitterness lingered around quite a bit after a few sips. Not overpowering with the hops by any means and it has a nice chocolate and roast background as well. All around, a nice new offerring from Rob. He wasn’t around when I stopped by so I didn’t get all the details on this new brew.
