12 oz bottle. Roasty aroma, thick. Flavor is very robust, dominated by hops. Definite bitter chocolate notes, with hints of coffee. Tastes thicker than it feels, if that makes any sense. All in all a great porter.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a nice thinnish tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light prunes and raisins and a bit of coffee. Medium-bodied; Assertive roasted malt flavours with some coffee, malt, earth, caramelised sugars and a bit of hops noticeable near the end. Aftertaste shows some milk, cream and lactose, but this is all about the roasted malt, and in a good way. Overall, a nice robust porter with no real bad flavours or qualities. Not amazing, but a good beer thats worth trying, especially on a cold day. I sampled this pint on draught at the Map Room in Chicago, Illinois on 14-November-2015 for US$5,00 for sixteen ounces.

Very opaque, black. Light tan head. Slight coffee notes, roasted grain, light molasses. Lightly bittered, rounder sweetness. Reasonably heavy body, quite chewy, light acidity. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lots of coffee and chocolate aroma. Super-dark brown with a tan head. Taste is typical porter, coffee, dark chocolate, roasty grain. The palate is too thin, though not egregiously so. Its a decent porter, but not a standout.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Pours pitch black color with red highlights in the light with a small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee with a little chocolate. The taste is roasted malt with coffee. An outstanding porter.

Bottle. Black with virtually a non-existent tan head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. It has a sweet taste.

Typical porter flavor except for a tang like red wine. Okay but not great, and too watery for my taste.

Pour is a black with a medium tan head. Aroma is a nice mix of coffee and chocolate malts. Flavor is again a nice coffee and chocolate with a pretty decent bitter char left on the tongue. This is a pretty solid porter. Plenty of nice roasted malt flavor with just the right amount of char and bitterness.

On tap at Map Room. Pours near black with a thick tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a medium-bodied bitter chocolate flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. Lots of flavor.
