dark brown pour with a tan head, nice lacing.
Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt. vanilla.
Flavour is nice milk chocolate, sweet slick mouthfeel, very smooth chocolate and lighter roast coffee bean. Flavours and alc are well blended, the sweetness is lightly balanced by the roasted flavour and very drinkable. bagalagalaga (161) - Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2015
A little harsh aftertaste and not too thick, but pretty chocolatey. Pretty good stuff. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 24, 2015
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on my company holiday from home. Appearance is a creamy pitch black with a light tan head that laces to the glass. Aroma is rich in chocolate, lactose, light smoke, light vanilla, and oats. Taste is pretty good, chocolate, licorice, oil like consistency, doesn’t feel too rich, definitely enjoyable. Another good one from this great brewery. BananaBi11 (30) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 2, 2015
Nothing too special. Had a lot of chocolate flavor, tasted like a average joe stout. Fine to drink however. Very little amount of bitter, as well as other heavy flavors. Was smooth, but didn’t have the ’alcohol’ taste I tend to enjoy in most stouts. basaywhat (302) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2015
Pour was deep dark with a slightly dark tan head. Aroma was strong with chocolate, light caramel, and some bread characters. Body was medium to full with a smooth oat character along with some more well blended chocolate malt and a nice caramel finish.

Aroma of burnt malt, cocoa, some coffee, taste is chocolate, coffee, burnt malt, sweet, but drinkable. mfhennig (285) - McHenry County, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2015
12 oz bottle pours a black with a sudsy brown head. Smells like roasted malt, burnt oats, a hint of coffee and cocoa. Tastes good. Not as full bodied as some of the other Imperial stouts, but it’s nice and creamy, mildly carbonated, and has a nice long finish. An outstanding brew at this price point. Another really good beer from Tyranena. Christpuncher (3188) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 17, 2015
Smells bourbony and tastes sweet and smokey. Slight roasted coffee notes and vanilla. Bitter finish. Pours black with a reddish tan head. Had at home.
