On tap at Tyranena during my unsuccessful interview. Murky orange-brown with a thin, steady beige head. Funky sour aroma. A lot more malt tones than a typical lambic. Some caramel tones, assumably the bourbon oak, really evens it out. Clearly funkified, but hardly one-dimensional. Some toasty orange tones, almost a hint of almond. Creamy vanilla. Unique, interesting beer. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - NOV 15, 2011
On tap @ Tyranena. Cloudy amber with almost no head. Aroma is tart apple, some musty barnyard, oak and some caramel. Flavor is tart up front but not overly sour, the malt keeps this more balanced and there is a faint bourbon heat. Medium body with average carbonation and a light, semi-dry mouth feel. Enjoyable beer, not too sour but the tartness is there. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 6, 2011
On tap at Tyranena. Poured hazy medium amber with not a lot of whitish head sticking around. The aroma picked up tangy bourbon and lacto notes over a nondescript sweetness.. pleasant enough, but don’t go into this thinking “Lambic”, because it was quite restrained. The flavor found some lighter-skinned fruity tartness and lightly-metallic bourbon throughout.. grainy sugars on the edges.. more barrel on the finish, but it never really got sour. Medium-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. grainy, and only a little sour.. drinkable stuff, but not lambic-cy enough. 1FastSTi (3361) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Tap at Tyranena. Ok, so this one I’m rating as a beer, not as a "lambic". It poured to a deep iced tea colored body with a thin head. The aroma and flavors are pretty much a "brown ale that has been aged in some sort of barrel that added a funkiness to it". This is a TERRIBLE lambic, but a decent BEER. As a lambic, this is sub 3.0. As a beer... see score above. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2010
On tap at brewery, pours a clear copper/light brown with a thin head, aroma is of sour fruit with some funk and very noticeable bourbon and smoke, I personally enjoyed the aroma the most in this brew, the flavor was overall fairly bland with no real sour or fruit notes, hence fruitless. It has a distinct flavors of bourbon, wood and smoke without a hint of sweentess. The mouthfeel is light and has a very dry finish. A different brew from Tyranena, just personally not my favorite.

(Draught) Pours a hazy deep amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of grass, caramel, sweet tart, and some horseblanket. Flavor of grass, herbs, caramel, vanilla, and some funkiness. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 22, 2010
Special tapping around 4 pm and served on draught during GTMW 2010 Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours clear dark amber colored brew with no head or carbonation. Aroma of sour brown/caramel malt and a hint of chocolate and barnyard funk. Taste is medium bodied, no carbonation with flavors of vanilla, some chocolate and caramel. Finish is slightly metallic at first and then a mild tart yeast aftertaste. This is very close to the Tyranena Cabernet Barrel-Aged Brown Ale profile but with some aging and less fruit.
