4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I thought this beer was great. Way better than a Fat Tire, but much more rare. OK, so, I’m a sucker for amber ales, and I love German style Pilsners and Oktoberfests. This is a good mix of the syles. This Altbier was very smooth and I’ll definetly pick up a six-pack in the future.
Bottle at home from notes. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted grainy malts, some floral and herbal tea hop character, some bready character, a splash of toffee, just ok. slowrunner77 (12159) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 13, 2015
tap - not very interesting. kinda like Alaskan Amber, which is ok, just a lightly malty crisp so so beer. ARH (1133) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 6, 2015
On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is dry malt with bread crust and hints of caramel late. It pours clear and oily, with a copper hue and a white, medium dense ring that leaves a light, runny lace. The taste is a medium bitter and light sweet. The beer is dry and thin with a buzzy foam carbonation. The medium body contains roasted notes with light caramel and wood notes and a resin flavor that strengthens at the finish. The aftertaste is burnt with some citrus rind and/or wax notes that linger. wilnatp (720) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 16, 2014
Tap at the taproom July 30th. Notes are lacking in text. This wasn’t my favorite amber. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 22, 2014
(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Orange pour with white head. Light malt, some nutty and other malty aromas. Flavors are amber malt, some malt tones.

Not a bad beer but very mild on the tongue and watery. Not surprising at 5%. Carmel golden flavors with a very slight burnt tongue flavor. Enjoyable beer with a light hop. Just thin is the only bad part. Thin fading head. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Pours a nice copper color with off-white head. Caramel malts mainly on the nose, a little toffee too; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a roast character. gopherfan99 (1959) - Minnesota, USA - APR 7, 2014

Light amber pour. Smells like soda and raspberries... Flavor is nutty, slight hops, fruits. Fuck you Tyranena this is not an altbier. But it isn’t terrible italianjohn (3163) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2014
