On tap at Rocky’s Sub Pub in Jeffersonville, IN. poured in a Tyranena pint glass. Pours a dark orange/amber color with a decent white head and good amount of lacing. Aroma and taste is an amazingly nice balance of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and spices. Medium body with a creamy texture and low carbonation and a great finish of spices that sticks around awhile. Easily one of the best pumpkin ales out there! drpimento (3640) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2011
This is one of the better pumpkin Spice beers I’ve had. From a properly chilled bottle and and aggressive pour, I got a small, off white head that quickly settled to a ring and no lace. Color is a lovely, clear orange copper amber with a few tiny bubble trails. Aroma is pumpkin, spice, malt, caramel, toffee. Flavor is much like nose with perfect carbonic tang and hop bitterness to offset the muscle of the pumpkin, spice, and malt. Body and carbonation are good. Finsih is like flavor and only the hint of a suggestion of alcohol at the end. Nice. I could actually have another of this one and normally, I can’t abide the style. mizzoutcu (3) - - OCT 16, 2013 does not count
Great take on the style. Aroma solidly pumpkin without overdone spice. Medium body w/reasonable carbonation. Slightly sweet tasting. Outstanding. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 20, 2014
sweet pumpkin spices, maybe some figs, butterscotch, sweet malt.
Taste is similar, not quite as powerful as the aroma. Smooth, malty. hype (40) - - JAN 21, 2015

Sample at Heritage, what a deal! Really tried hard to get a growler of this, to no avail. Smells of rich pumpkin and spices. Lots of pumpkin flavor in there, along with nutmeg, cinammin, but not overpowering. So drinkable, unlike ST Pumking, which is awesome, but gets to be a bit much towards the end of a bomber. Just awesome stuff. They really need to make this a BGW brew WisconsinBeer (716) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Bottle. What an elusive beer, this is the first time I’ve ever seen it in the store! Pours a deep orange color with a nice lingering head. Flavor is soft bready malts, residual sugars, pumpkin, and some nice pumpkin pie spice to top it off. Just the right medium body thickness and carbonation to make this one a winner. Definitely one of the better pumpkin beers out there along with the likes of Pumking. LtJudge (468) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 10, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2008 Pours a wonderful orangish/copper color with a small beige head. Wonderful aromas of pumpkin, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon. Taste is of pumpkin and spices. What I was most impressed with is the incredibly smooth as silk mouthfeel. Leaves a wonderful pumpkin flavor aftertaste as well. Kudos! . Skyview (6055) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 14, 2008
On draught at the brewery taproom in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with plenty of pumpkin spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, a touch of clove and raisin mincemeat. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a good balance of caramel and multi-grain malt, pumpkin, nutmeg, raisin and cinnamon. Finish is smooth, creamy with a nice caramel and pumpkin pie filling along with a mild bitterness. One of the best balanced pumpkin beers I have tried. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - MAR 1, 2009
(growler from Skyview at the Farewell to Lex/Larp Cellars event) Pours dark copper with a medium off-white head that leaves a thin film on top. Good spice and pumpkin aroma, so much so that it almost smelled like one of those fake pumpkin pie candles. Spice aromas of nutmeg and a bit of cinnamon as well. The taste is just really great for a pumpkin beer, with a lot of baked pumpkin flavor that then changes to more of a sweet and lightly bitter/spiced finish. The mouthfeel is medium and the carbonation is smooth. I’m normally a little more biased when it comes to pumpkin beers, and this beer really nails it in the flavor department. Well done indeed. Thanks Bob!
