Bottle from fear025. Clear golden pour with nice tan head. Aroma is lots of allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is tons of spice with a hint of pumpkin. Well executed for this style.
12 ounce bottle from Discount Liquors. Clear amber, large fizzy off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin. The taste is spice, apple, pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon, clove. Medium bodied, moderate lingering spice, slick. Solid one for my first pumpkin beer of the season. 12 Oz bottle. Pumpkin and nutmeg aroma.. Sweet malt and pumpkin flavor. Long roasty bitterness. Overall... Meh. Not my style, but has its place. muzzlehatch (4970) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 3, 2016
12 ounce bottle from Woodmans on Gammon Road in Madison, served at cellar temp in a pint glass. Moderate off-white head decays quickly atop a slightly oily amber-gold body...fairly typical pumpkin-spice aroma - ginger and cinnamon and cardamom and clove - but enhanced by more malt presence than usual, and quite fresh and fairly strong...body is sweet but not to me excessively so, lots of caramel malt, toasty Oktoberfest-like characteristics, some spicy bitterness and a juicy-fruity quality, with just a touch of dryness and smokiness at the finish...full on the palate throughout, carbonation light to moderate. I’ve been sick of pumpkin ales lately but this one works pretty well; it might be too sweet for some but certainly there is more balance here between the pie-spiciness, sugar and malt body than we often see. Well done. ryecatcher (1459) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 13, 2016
Bottle. There are two types of pumpkin beers: ones that are over-spiced and vegetal, and ones that are toasty and balanced and make you happy the leaves are dying, that football is back (...and hockey not far behind it), that bonfire season is here, and that your kid is already thinking about his Halloween costume over a month early. This one falls (no pun intended) into the latter category. Solid. GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 8, 2016
Tap at The Old Fashioned in Madison, WI. Clear amber pour with healthy foam. Nose is spiced tea. Flavor begins with butterscotch, small pumpkin candied lemon peel. Oily, richer palate. Not bad. I should stop ordering pumpkin beers.

Bottle at home. From Whole Foods. Cloudy amber when poured cold. The aroma is nutmeg, canned pumpkin, overripe banana, and banana bread. Full bodied with aggressive carbonation. Flavors include banana and wheat, aside from the token spices and pumpkin. Dry finish with lingering spices, including white pepper. Fine pumpkin ale, even in late May. rumproasts (5544) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2015
bottle. Amber with one finger head. Well above average for a pumpkin beer. Good balance of pumpkin and spice with plenty of flavor.
