3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle from Steve’s Liquor, Madison
Ar: Orange with a good dose of pine. The orange is actually fairly subdued.
Ap: Pours a lightly hazy orange copper with a frothy 1" off-white head. Nice lace.
T: Medium sweet flavor, moderately hopped finish for an IPA, flavor mostly pine and some caramel.
P: Fairly sticky, medium-thick body.
O: Solid IPA.
A little zest and orange taste to it. Good for the summer but nothing amazing.

pours a clear rich copper with a medium creamy head. An oddly malty aroma profile. I don’t get the orange there. I do get some of the orange in the taste. Bitter from start to finish. Dank. Thick mouth feel. Not as citrusy as I was expecting. But still an enjoyable IPA. muzzlehatch (4959) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 29, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #50. Draught pint at Acadia Café in Minneapolis, MN, August 2008. Creamy lasting bit of off-white head topping a brilliant amber body....bright, powerful though relatively simple citric nose - the expected orange but also juicy grapefruit and the barest hint of allspice...orange character important throughout the lovely body, both a juicy fresh acidic fruit character and a bit of Cointreau-like liqueur...very lightly syrupy, hints of dark smokiness in the malt, light-bodied yet full if that makes sense; strong carbonation interacts with that heavier body to create a very drinkable but perhaps more shippable concoction. I remember my friend not being too happy with the orange, but for me it worked quite well, and with all the fruits that are being used in IPAs and APAs these days I wonder that orange isn’t used (or doesn’t seem to be from what I’ve seen) as often as lemon, mango or apricots. I’ve had this in bottles since a couple of times and it’s held up pretty well - perhaps a point or two less but nothing worth worrying about. Citrus aroma, pours amber with big head. Typical IPA taste. Not really picking up the touting orange peel. Worthy of money nonetheless. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 29, 2015
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours light smber with a huge off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a toffee flavor with a very nice hop profile that balances moerate hop bitterness with a hearty malt base.

Pour is a clear copper with a average white head. Aroma is a nice dose of hops with more a sweet caramel malt. Flavor is more of a earthy malt with a resiny hop in the backround. Finish is a bit bitter and citrus from the orange peel. This is a decent IPA. It was bottled in May and the hops may have faded by now so it would probably get a better rating fresh. I was afraid the orange might be too pronounced - far from it. It's a really good IPA and the orange just adds class depth. Good smell, nice finish, bright color and enough hops to keep it interesting. Bottle.

Poured from the six pack of bottles, clear copper with foamy collar. Orange makes it very drinkable, they go down fast. Good pirate theme. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Pours a clear orange golden color with white head. Citrus, oranges specifically, with floral notes, and just a hint of grassy pine on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more citrusy orange flavor.
