"Drinkers of this brand are fond of its delicate hop aroma, golden color and thick, white head. The aroma, being the assurance of excellent taste, is beyond the reach of most Polish beers." 11.7P

GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - JUN 3, 2010
12oz bottle -

Aroma - standard hard to pick-up anything of substance aroma...very light grass, a bit of sweetness (grains I guess)...nothing awful

Appearance - bright yellow clear body, gentle carbonation present, tight foamy white head

Taste - light bran cereal kind of sweetness, but really not much more than that

Palate - crisp, clean feel, very light...a touch watery

Overall - a non-offensive lager, refreshing ice cold...decent price too

Tap at a restaurant in Zakopane, Poland.
Pours a deep golden cheddar yellow with a lively body and a nice white head. Aroma is bitter pilsner malt, corn bread, and earthy cereal. Flavor is watery cereal and bready pilsner malt. Watery mouthfeel. Big letdown.

tmoreau (4365) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2010
12 oz, bottle offered by a customer from his frig supply. Poured to a pint glass a clear, golden color with a light off white, frothy head, and good, clingy waves of lacing. The aroma was some sweet malt, a typical lager nose, and a little corn. The flavor added some medium hop bitterness, lively carbonation, a medium to light body, and dryness to the finish. Not bad.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - APR 23, 2010
500 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. BB 29.01.11.

App.: Clear bright golden with a white rim. Aroma: Slightly sweet and fruity malts, a little dank, grassy hops, minerals. Palate: Medium body and carbonation. Flav.: Grain/cereal maltiness, almost no hop character, a touch of biscuit, ho-hum; dry with restrained bitterness and a clean, mineral finish.

Tsk, tsk, tsk Tyskie.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2012 Bottle from local convenience store. Cereal corn aroma, pale golden yellow colour, not much head. Tastes like a typical lager, not great, not bad. Bottle I had showed sponsorship for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

jodah52 (210) - Michigan, USA - APR 14, 2010
Gold, frothy head. Sweet with a bit of light malt, a fair amount of bitterness - though not enough, in my opinion, to balance out the sweetness. Small amount of hop aromatics. Decent, but falls short of most Czech pilseners; not enough hop or malt complexity, and very slightly imbalanced.
