Shared swingtopp bottle at local tasting. Ruby flavour, decent beige head. Pleasant and interesting aroma, notes of plums, prunes, ginger and allspice. The flavour is sour (unintended?), sweet and fruity, spices in the background.

Thanks to MisoW for this beer! Pours a hazy dark brown with orange highlights and a small tan head. The smell is dark fruit, wood, some slight sourness, The taste is sour rich fruit, wood and caramel ending dry with plums and raisins. The body is thick and the carbonation is average. It is interesting and I wonder if the sourness is intended.

Erzengel (8723) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 23, 2013
