Another shared by Rusty. Thanks RC! Deep brown with a tiny head. Raisins, brown sugar, malt and alcohol. A bit sour on the finish. Unusual! Stew41 (2025) - Phuket, THAILAND - FEB 12, 2010
Bottled Sept 2008. A bit long in the tooth (I hope) otherwise this was never much chop. Very low carbination does help and may have lost some fizz over time. Lots of vegemite and oyster sauce and cola notes as well. Hides the alochol incredibly well. Poor structure; thick and almost syrupy early but the flavours completely fall away. Would be happy to re-assess with a fresh bottle. Bloody exy too. elhefeweizen (38) - DENMARK - FEB 11, 2010
served at johans place, direct personal import from the old republic. Very special flavor heavy on the cherry side. No head in sight which is sad...
all in all, very interesting beer worth trying if you get the chance shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Swing-top bottle (trade with Koelschtrinker). Tart cherry, apple, toffee malt and astringent aroma. Cloudy dark brown color with giant head. Very sweet red cherry and toffee malt flavor with a light astringent finish. On the edge of being cloying but somehow avoids it. This is really different - hard to put a distinct label on. Bottle @ U Medvidku. Pours dark brown with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is sweet of wood, toffee, alcohol, sugar and fruit. Warming, vinous and syrupy. Quite heavy!

odd beer dragged back to the states by rustychiles. bb3/31/10 tasted 9/27/9.
pours thick and viscous with impending doom.... nice dark mahogany color topped by a teenie tan head.
it has a nice bone warming aroma... malty and sweet, raisins, grain, piloncilla, chocolate and some spice.
ick, the palate is syrupy and terribly sweet with nowhere near enough tartness to help out (i guess that helps the alcohol go unnoticed). it is raisin-y and raisin-y tart... but only mildly. it combines with the characteristics from the aroma with grainy bitterness to make a very unbalanced sugary brute.
thick sluggish body... i can’t get more than a few sips down. 6/4/5/2/12/2.9 Lubiere (13900) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 28, 2009
A reddish copper ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, sweet fruits, prunes, maraschino cherries, vanilla extract and nice hops. In mouth, a vinous sweet ale with oily mouthfeel, licorice, light acidulated notes, rich and smooth, porto-like. BB 10 2008. Tasted Nov. 21 2009, with MartinT. Merci Martin! rozsoma (1021) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - NOV 17, 2009
It has a solid creamy beige head, murky and syrupy body and aroma filled with intensive fruitiness. Mostly blueberry, which reminds me to trappiste rochefort 10. In addition, plum and raisin notes in the aroma. Very sweet, oily flavour still with blueberries and a long aftertaste. Carbonation and alcohol was not felt at all. Commendable that it was served at room temperature. One of the best beers that i ever drink. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2009
Yet another bottle shared by rustychiles -- many thanks! Pours caramel in color with a trim white head. Bizarre aroma. I have no idea what’s going on in this. Tastes of strawberry jam, caramelized bananas, crepe, and syruppy sweetness. Whoa. Certainly meant to share. Rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - SEP 27, 2009
