cgreb (422) - Marburg, GERMANY - SEP 26, 2009
bottle (asheft) - nearly clear, dark amber beer with no foam, like oil. Aroma has some fruitiness. Flavour has also fruits like current and a caramel maltiness.

asheft (3083) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 23, 2009
[bottle] Slight oxidized cardboard aroma meshes well with some dried fruit and a touch of liquorice. Viscous, almost clear chestnut with no top. Sweet, cereal grain flavour with some cardboard and tons of dried fruit. Bitterness is good and comes in after the sweet, providing some necessary balance. Excellent oily feel with carbonation that plays off the bitterness in the finish.

[Bottle from Bjarne.] A true bomb, which exploded all over the kids table to the vejfest. More like an belgian abbey ale with all those fruitnotes, caramel, dried berries, sweetness and heavy alcohol percentage. Good surprise, Bjarne!

travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The look is a red like color with a beige colored head. The smell is wood, tart, fruits. The taste is sweet, fruits, sugary. A little cloyingly sweet, but good.

(330ml flip-top bottle, BB 30.11.09) Pours an amber body with a spare dusting of tiny off-white bubbles. Aroma of citrus, barnyard, horseblanket, caramel, berries, and raisins. Flavor of caramel malt, herbal/grass hops, dark fruit, and lightly sour with a cordial-like mouthfeel. Pleasant surprise.

thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2009
(330ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours a chocolate orange color with decent head. Nose has alcohol. Sweet malt and thick body with no hint of alcohol in the taste. Light sour bite on the front with great carbonation. Odd salty/sour palette finish though.

HogTownHarry (6942) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2009
Bottle (330ml - swing-top). Via trade with glouglouburp. Bit of a gusher. Poured clear deep chestnut, large diminishing creamy tan head. Wonderfully nutty/oily aroma, sweet but with some herbal bitterness - I don’t get anything like 12% in the aroma. Taste - somewhat stronger in alcohol, but still mostly nutty, with sour cherry and raisins tossed in. Slick, oily mouthfeel, a little acidic, somewhat boozy in the tail. Mmmmm - a sipper, quite sticky!

Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - JUL 14, 2009
bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured a ruby with a beige head. aroma of caramel, grains, citrus, brown sugar??, and dark fruits. flavor is the same as well. full slick body while having a sticky quality. the alcohol is hidden very well in this one. i really enjoyed this one.
