harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2008
On tap at the brewery, day 2 of RBESG. Hazy gold, thin beige. Bit grim. Malts aren’t too good. Bit syrupy and not very malty. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 9, 2008
Draught. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized creamy white head, which leaves nice lace. Aroma is quite much lager meets yeast and mild citrusy and wheaty notes. Flavour is a lot of yeast, standard pils as well as some wheaty notes. Not very exciting wheatbeer. gnoff (10410) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2008
(Draught at the brewpub)DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2008
On June 28, 2008)
Shady yellow color, white creamy head. Yestay bready dough scent. Dry and a bit sweet bitter taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness.
Tap at the brewpub. Alround rating: Not very wheaty, yet quite yeasty, grassy and bitter. Alright. ogivlado (7839) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 4, 2008
The fourth beer on the second day of RBESG 2008.
ekstedt (6782) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2008
Cloudy pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, light acidic nose. Not much of taste here, light fruity, quite weak wheaty and mild acidic lemony finish. Pity for this one.
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy orange golden with medium white head. Fruity and caramelly with some banana notes. Moussy, almost sparkling mouthfeel. A bit too sweet. omhper (25139) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale golden, rich very creamy head. Fruity vanilla aroma. Buttery and lightly oily with clean mouthfeel and cracker-like wheat malt character. A rather fresh and hoppy wheat malt pilsener(!) style beer. Marko (5711) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 1, 2008
On tap at the brewery, day 2 of RBESGmotelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAY 2, 2008
Poured a murky darker yellow colour with a big creamy head. Subtle cloves in the notes with some sweetish malt. Almost no hefeweizen character. Not much wheaty, no real esthers. Soft, sweet lemony dryish taste, just a touch of funkiness. A balanced and fine beer, but wheat?
i picked up a 1.5 litre PET bottle of this at the brewery to take to a barbecue and drank it out of a plastic cup. quite hazy, murky yellow. very sweet aroma - musk, banana. very drinkable and authentic hefeweizen which just could use a bit of saltiness
