Dunkel röstiger, eher trockener Antrunk. Keine Süße, eher herb, enttäuschende Malzigkeit. Weiter trocken, monoton. Okay. 9/8/8/7//8 Stuu666 (14806) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 30, 2016

Lovely rich roast aroma, fresh coffee. Very deep red, tight tan head. Rich roasty malt taste. Super mellow palate. Sweet, a bit coffee cakey, but not sticky, and massively drinkable. Great brew. Had 2 :-)

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy black to ruby body, small beige head. Aroma of low intensity: chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is a bit empty, sourest with slightly roasted bitterness. Roasted malts, chocolate.
Draft at the source. Black with a thick off white head. Weak roasted malt aroma. Taste is roasted malt, with a faint fruit twang undertone in the finish. The caramel flavor remains subdued compared to a lot of dark lagers in this style. Well balanced. Medium bodied. Decent.
