On draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy pale gold with a white head. Aroma of white bread. Flavors of toast. Crisp finish. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 27, 2015
Slightly haze pale golden.. Standard wheat malt with a balanced grassy/light citrus hoppiness.. Okay, but I don’t understand why seemingly almost ever Montana brewery HAS to call a "wheat beer" a "hefeweizen". Just because Widmer did it 15 years ago doesn’t mean it is okay now..... That said.. Pretty good American wheat.... Don’t remember the last time I said that. :-)

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a slightly hazed golden-orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather rapidly, leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a fruity smell with the fruit being a rather nice mix of apple, citrus, and pear. Along with these aromas are some hints of a yeasty smell as well as a moderate showing of wheat, grain, and a bit of banana as well.
Taste – Upfront the taste is strongest of slightly sweeter fruit flavor, consisting of all those detected in the nose. Along with these flavors comes a smooth grainy taste as well as a little bit of a yeasty taste. As the taste advances the graininess fades a bit, all while the sweetness seems to get slightly more potent in nature. At the end, more wheat comes to the tongue and is joined by a hint of lemon and grass to leave a rather smooth flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner side with it containing a carbonation level that is rather average to a little bit lighter. For the lighter abv. and the hefe nature of the brew the feel is rather fantastic and makes for a great easy drinking brew.
Overall – A rather refreshing and flavorful hefe. This would be a fantastic brew on a nice summer day.

Very nice hefe. Crowd pleaser, but it brings a good savory taste with not too much grainy adjuncts. Very light yellow, with a watery palate - but good lacing. jcr (2801) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Draft. Cloudy golden body with a short, white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, fruit, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter with a light tartness. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Taste of toasted grain.
