COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat is growing in Düsseldorf: At Uerige a group of confessional wheat beer lovers sprung to life spontaneously when the new, light-colored beer was served for the first time. And the taste does them justice.

Bottle at Foersters Feine Bier, Berlin. Pale yella and slightly hazy, nice foamy head. The aroma is a bit weak with faint cereal. Nice smoooth wheat beer like a few American wheats Ive had, they probably tasted this before making their own (Im looking at you Pyramid). Bavarian weizens are my fav, so I was unsure about the Weizen categorization, but here on RB it's listed as a wheat ale which makes more sense. Silky malt, refreshing. Not much in the way of a finish, just chalky malt. Satisfying, even if I wont convert to Northern German weizens.

En hvedeøl efter foreskriften. Syntetisk banan..... Det bliver aldrig min kop te (øl...), men den er type-typisk.

Hazy golden, small white head. The aroma is wheat malts, white bread, some citrus fruit. spicy hops. Similar taste. Medium dry. Light bodied. A pleasant beverage.

sip from draught 0.33 l @ Zum Uerige, Düsseldorf (April 21, 2017). Appearance is golden, clear and with a nice head. Taste is similar to Altbier, except this is more smooth and refreshing, since this doesn’t have the darker malts. They use the same yeast as for the Alt, so taste is different from Bavarian Weizens. Probably better choice during a hot summer day than the main product.

(Bottle) Pours hazy golden with big white head. Aroma has sweet candy and banana notes. Medium bodied with good fine carbonation. Nice taste - starts tart and sweeter banana and pear drop notes develop. Very refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2017 Bottle: The aroma consists of mild banana, wheat, and faint clove. It’s a hazy dull orange with a one finger white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with mild banana. There is some light wheat in the middle. The finish has light apple with a hint of clove. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.

ALIBALI (2397) - Kiel, GERMANY - AUG 26, 2016

Malzig, fruchtig, etwas Banane, Nelke, mild.

Bottle opens loudly so I expected a lot of carbonation. It turned out not to be too much but nice soft and prickly. Flavor is malts some grasses and a hint of hops. Nice, refreshing and well brewed. Nothing to dislike here but also not very interesting.

Zlotta (3728) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JUN 29, 2016
0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’ at 4.5% abv, bottled in May 2016. Hazy, dark golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish-grainy, slightly yeasty and a little fruity-grassy aroma of dough, straw, grains and maybe a touch of peach and clove. Sweetish, slightly fruity, moderately yeasty and quite grainy taste of dough, straw, grains, some butter and hints of peach and clove, followed by a short, slightly grassy-bitter, quite yeasty finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay Weizen, similar to the one from Füchschen, not even close to the South German style.
