Plovmand (8585) - Grindsted, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2016
Bottle at home. It pours opaque black with a creamy dense brown head. The aroma is heavy roasted with soy and light bourbon notes. Thick creamy palate. Mainly roasted malty flavor notes. Some soy and oak. Light chocolate and coffee. The barrel is not very profound here but a solid stout with a great look and a smooth mouthfeel.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2016 330 ml bottle from the brewery This was an superb Imperial stout. the stout poured a pitch black with a foamy tan head.with lacing. The aroma of whiskey with roasted malts greets you. The medium body stout had average carbonation. The taste is more complex with chocolate, coffee and hints of vanilla. The finish was clean with some licorice on the tongue with a warming feeling from the high abv.

RasmusOtt (2842) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 16, 2016
Bottle. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of smoke, dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts and liquorice. The taste has chocolate, woody barrel notes, smoke, liquorice and some roasted malts. Pretty good but barrel could be more well integrated in the beer. A bit messy but still decent!
