Farven er rav med en hvid/flødefarvet skumkrone. Aromaen og smagen er malt, karamel, farin og mørk frugt.

DubStar is a great beer with great foam. The scent is most marked by dark malt with hints of slightly licorice and anise. Lovely rich flavor of dark caramel, plum, raisin and other dried fruits that are a little harder to define (figs / dates?). A little star anise fills in the palate and gives a sweet beer that clearly have Belgian character. A little hop bitter aftertaste makes it different than a typical Belgian dubbel and I think it suits it very well that it just does not stay so sweet and heavy as many Belgian Dubbels can be. DubStar is a little more subdued, but still has the correct candied sweetness as the main theme without being too sweet in length. Carbonation is low, but comes alive in the mouth of a gentle soft shape that manages to maintain the good fruity notes with malt for a long time. The finish is marked by yeast, just as a Belgian dubbel must / should be. Lovely dubbel in typical Belgian style. Can definitely be recommended.

330ml bottle provided by djoeye and shared with Finn. Fawn-coloured head. Mahogany coloured body, close to clear. Malt-fruity aroma, hints of caramel and ripe lemon. Spiced fruity taste with a touch of caramel, yeasty fruitiness and a backdrop of mild spices. Warming alcohol on the swallow. Satisfying (Tromsø 11.03.2015).

15.11.2014. 0,33l Bottle. Brown colour with white head. Malty aroma with nice smooth flavours of sweet malts. Notes of yeast. Medium to rich body with soft bitterness. Aftertaste is not so bitter and leaves a malty sweet mouthfeel. Notes of herb, flowers and yeast. Very nice beer!

Mit McTapps geteilt. Recht fruchtig mit einer herbe Note von Kraeutern und etwas Heu. Trinkbar, stellenweise recht suess mit einer Nachgang von Karamell. Nicht schlecht.

Bottle from trade with Bamsen78 - thank you a lot, Marcin! The beer pours out in a hazy golden-amber colour with low steady head and smooth body. Aroma of light Belgian yeast and hops. taste of mild hops, vanilla, oranges, flowers, caramel, light Belgian yeast and mild coriander. Refreshing but nothing special.

@ Bishop HBG Beermakers dinner, Ugly Duck. Lite nyanser av alkoholen, kunde varit lite fylligare. Sötma, russin?
