COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: It’s a beer that’s been thought about for quite some time – actually since the brewers first visit to Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton, AB, Canada a few years back, and finally I did it – I manned up and did it! After a whole freaking day of brewing coffee for this beer I can truly say it is Craft. If not devoted to the product who in their right mind would brew hundreds of litres of coffee for a beer? The result is a big and bold smooth Porter with discrete vanilla and coffee notes.
Hops: Magnum, Nelson Sauvin Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black, Vanilla and coffee.

Bottle at home. Aroma is intense coffee, espresso, roasted malt, chewy rye, touch of vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate roasty bitter. Body is above medium. Really delivers on the coffee, not as full as I’d expected, very tasty!

330ml bottle from Irma Supermarket, Copenhagen. Black with a dense medium size beige head, good lacing. Sweet chocolate nose with nutty notes. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonated. Sweet chocolate taste, artificial vanilla, bitter cocoa and roasted barley. Dry and warming finish.

Pours a dark brown almost black colour with a light tan head. Roasted malt, bitter chocolate and vanilla aroma. Treacle sweetness, roasted malt and coffee bitterness. Some alcohol comes through and has a burnt grain ashy bitter finish. A little too much for a summer evening.

HPDalen (376) - DENMARK - JUN 26, 2016
Vanilla and coffee aroma as you would expect, hints of chocolate and alcohol too. Pours almost black with a tan head. Rich flavour of coffee and vanilla, much sweetness and bitterness though nicely balanced. Full body, quite flat. Bitter finish. Great beer.

DraftDodger (1512) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2016
Copenhagen 22/5 2016. 33 cl bottle from Irma. Black label with something that looks like light effects from the 1960s. Pours opaque dark brown with light beige head. Moderate lacing. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Intense aroma of roasted malts, coffee, bittersweet dark chocolate and a little alcohol. Soft carbonation and thick creamy slightly sticky palate. Flavor is quite well balanced despite the abundance of sweetness. A good coffee bitterness provides the necessary counterweight not to make this brew nauseating. Nice porter. I would not drink it out of thist. But with the fairly high ABV and very distinct presence of coffee you could argue that this makes an coffee and a cognac after dinner redundant.
