English: Its a beer thats been thought about for quite some time actually since the brewers first visit to Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton, AB, Canada a few years back, and finally I did it I manned up and did it! After a whole freaking day of brewing coffee for this beer I can truly say it is Craft. If not devoted to the product who in their right mind would brew hundreds of litres of coffee for a beer? The result is a big and bold smooth Porter with discrete vanilla and coffee notes.
Hops: Magnum, Nelson Sauvin Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black, Vanilla and coffee.

The aroma is not particularly interesting, even a bit rough like mud. But the taste is interesting, clear presence of vanilla and a good ammount of acid. The texture is smooth and the enduring thin layer of foam is a plus

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2013 Bottle. A black one, topped by a small, dense, finger-thick tan head. The aroma has coffee and some vanilla, chocolate and then even more coffee. The same goes for th flavor, its coffee that runs the show, helped by some sweetness and notes of vanilla and chocolate. Soft on the palate, with a tad too much carbonation. Overall, very, very nice, although a bit one dimensional. Rating: 7-5-8-4-16-4.0. 121116

Bottle. A more or less black one, with a reddish hue, topped by a dense, dark beige head of two-finger head. Nice lacings. The aroma has coffee, some vanilla, a touch of coffee and some chocolate. Some alcohol notes. Its super soft on the palate, semi-sweet, nice carbonation. Coffee, chocolate and some vanilla in the flavor. Sure nice, but not extra ordinary. 130327

Pours a deep brown body with a small, creamy to frothy, medium brown head that laces the glass well. The aroma is strong and pleasant, although not very complex: this is mainly strong coffee and roasted notes. Also some light yeast in the back. I actually dont get any vanilla. The taste is moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Strong roasted flavours of coffee, and the beer opens up somewhat as the temperature increases, and reveals vague hints of vanilla and fruits. Full bodied, creamy and smooth texture, soft carbonation, well hidden alcohol. A nice one.

1.5L magnum, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee and vanilla upfront, and medium roasted malts. Flavour brings out coffee upfront, vanilla secondarily and moderate roast. Quite a thin palate, but fairly robust enough with flavour. Nice porter, but nothing special.

Pours an opaque very dark brown almost black and a couple fingers of tan head that seems to last in the form of a sizeable ring around the glass. Aroma is coffee, rich chocolate and vanilla, roasted malt, a hint of alcohol. Flavours are chocolate, roasted malts, coffee bitterness, and a warming alcohol finish.

Pours an opaque black with a foamy light brown head. Aroma of sweet vanilla, roast malts, chocolate, coffee and a slight bit of booze. Taste is sweet malts up front with some hint of vanilla in the background. Roasted malts and a coffee bitterness round out the taste that has a nice alcohol warming on the finish.
