English: It’s a beer that’s been thought about for quite some time – actually since the brewers first visit to Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton, AB, Canada a few years back, and finally I did it – I manned up and did it! After a whole freaking day of brewing coffee for this beer I can truly say it is Craft. If not devoted to the product who in their right mind would brew hundreds of litres of coffee for a beer? The result is a big and bold smooth Porter with discrete vanilla and coffee notes.
Hops: Magnum, Nelson Sauvin Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black, Vanilla and coffee.

Beergaard (384) - Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 26, 2014
Nice dark brown/black color and a sticky light brown head. Aroma of bitter coffee, dried fruit, alcohol, chocolate and vanilla - just a bit more vanilla would have been nice though. Quite creamy mouthfeel, loads of bitter roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla and some hops. Very good beer indeed

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected]ølhus cph. Black, creamy head. Soft roasty, light leathery, dry chocolate, malty sweet vanilla nose. Full supersmooth soft body. Very nice mouthfeel. Soft, creamy, slight sweet roasty. No sign, at all, of the abv. Just malty creamy smoothness. Best stuff I’ve had in a while (since last sun, to be exact..)

Bottle. Black with a brown head. Sweet vanilla and chocolate scent with some alcohol. Flavor is slightly sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted coffee and malt. Not awesome but highly drinkable.

Foffern (1948) - Bodø, NORWAY - SEP 16, 2014
Bottle at home. BB 2.7.2014. The colour is pitch black with a medium, creamy, khaki head. Immediately roasted aroma of coffee beans, very dark chocolate, leather, ash and soy sauce. More ash and roasted malt in the flavour along with chocolate truffles.Has a rich and soft mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A rich, roasted and very nice ale.

Xavalias (284) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 5, 2014
Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy brown head, light persistence, lots of lacing. Some yeast pellet in the bottom of the glass. Nose of roasted malts, in the mouth likewise, with alcohol, caramel, light coffee, fruits, some vanilla, and some oak barrel smoothness. The taste is very smooth, medium sweet and medium to light bitter. Rather light bodied surprisingly watery. Nice, and easy going, but not quite as "big and bold" as promised, although the smoothness is definitely there.

ninecats (533) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - SEP 3, 2014
Backlog. Pours deep brown, almost black, with a two finger beige semi compact foam that dissipates slow and leaves no lacings. Aroma is dominated by coffee, roasted mocca beans, malt, slight liquorice. Taste is moderately bitter and sweet with roasted malt and coffee tones, chocolate, along with a slight hint of vanilla, and a tiny smokey hint. Big body, low to medium carbo, fairly light texture for such big body. Quite good, very coffee dominated.

POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2014
Coffee porter without vanilla flavor. Slightly offbeat and unbalanced. Very much coffee flavor.

Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2014
Tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours pitch black with a brown, fluffy, yet short lasting head. Aroma has toffee, mild roast, coffee, lots of vanilla, sweet light chocolate. Taste has lots of lightly roasted coffee, caramel and roasted malts, vanilla and a both hoppy and roasted bitterness. Very smooth body with medium carbonation. Easy drinking for it’s high abv, which is very well hidden.
