Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with an offwhite head, light lacing. Aroma of light malt, yeast, little spice, pepper, wine grapes, wood, white wine. Flavor is light tart, rather sweet, malt, wine grapes, little spice, wood, wine barrels, some alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, light sweet finish with warming alcohol. 121116

CloakedDagger (2211) - - AUG 17, 2016
Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a hazy, deep golden with a creamy, white head. Interesting aroma, mostly lime juice comes through. Medium-bodied, lowish carbonation, initially sweet fruits, then a distinct wood character comes in, still subtle and pleasant though, slight moldy accents from the barrel, a discreet tartness. It’s not a perfect barrel-aging, but I find it very pleasant. 170816

Moolesen (525) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2016
Bottle 37,5cl. Orange with an off white head. A lot of wine in the nose, typical barrel aged white wine. This is a very special beer. Lots of barrel aging, vanilla and the sourness from the saison yeast. Medium length

DerGantzel (400) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2015
Dry sweet-sour aroma of grapes. The cask taste is present. The sourness from the saison is quite well functioning with the dry chardonnay. Un-clear red golden liquid. Light white head. Medium sweet followed by medium sourness. Flat carbonation.

SlackerMads (3196) - DENMARK - OCT 4, 2015
Bottle as Ugly Duck Saison du Chardonnay. Hazy orange/chestnut brown with a large off white head with good retention. Nose has lots of fruit, wood, light barnyard, lemon, white glue. Crisp. Flavour is dominated by the barrel with white wine, glue, white wood, perfume, flowers, country side flowers and barnyard. Medium body, lively carbonation, medium sweet with good acidity. Flavourful and fun to try.
