English: The smoothness of this black fluid takes you by surprise. No, this is not an extreme beer! No, this is no hop explosion! This is smoothness! Deliciously tasty, subtle toastiness and a hint of hops – like a long petting of your taste buds. And at only 7,8 % alc. this is the beer you want to drink all night. For your grilled steak, your chocolately desserts and your creamy blue cheeses.
Hops: Cascade, Simcoe Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, bitter chocolate, pumpernickel, dark fruit, red berries and a touch of fruity hops. Taste is quite dry and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, rye and chocolate. A bit bland. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Taste is a bit of a let down, but the aroma’s great.

Bottle. It pours an unclear, dark brown body under a small, light beige head. The aroma has some licorice, lots of caramel sauce tending towards butterscotch, and some dried fruits. Licorice notes in the mostly caramel sauce flavor. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Caramel finish. Well, it’s drinkable and all that, but it’s nothing extraordinary. 121102

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Black with a light brown head. Roasty aroma with coffee and a bit of rye. Sweetish roasty flavor with coffee and a dry finish with some bitterness and some hoppy notes. Medium to full-bodied, rounded mouthfeel. A very good one.

500ml bottle courtesy of Jacob. Thanks man. Pours a jet black color with a small tan head that slowly recedes to a fine film. The aroma is soft with blackened barley, faint molasses, chocolates and some dust. The flavor is complex and spicy with peppers, bitter filberts, dark chocolates and figs. The palate was smooth and full with lively carbonation. Finishes long and bitter-sweet. Overall: As a fan of hoppy beers I really liked this one, it has a nice well developed bitterness. This would sell well here if available.

TheJestersBeer (2431) - SWEDEN - SEP 5, 2012
330ml bottle.
Pours a solid black, with a brown head.
Roasted, spicy aroma, chocolate, coffee beans, licorice, ashes, tobacco, vanilla, caramel.
Semi-sweet, full bodied, medium to high bitterness, creamy CO2.
Roasted, malty taste, caramel, chocolate, toffee, licorice, ashes, faint smoke, earth.
Rather smooth and velvety.
