bottle, from pivoteka in pilsen. rich shade of clear amber with a modest and uneven head; flavour of honey on buttery toast; plenty of steady malt flavours but a bit bland in the finish

promontor (154) - HUNGARY - AUG 4, 2012
0.5 l bottle from Pivo. Starts with quickly vanishing thick head. Aroma is mildly breadlike.Color is rather light amber, I definitely would not categorize it as polotmay, too pale is its colour for hat category. Taste is balanced between malty sweetness and breadlike sourness. Some spices and nuts also recognizable but the body is rather thin. Palate is OK, maybe too weak carbonation in the end even for me. Aftertaste is spicy and definitely better than what I expected after the tasting. Nice and acceptable, after all. Marketed as a "viennese" and rightly so, a bit atypical for a Czech lager.

Thomasalias (320) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 17, 2012
On tap at Pivo Sörvendéglő, Budapest. Clear, light amber color with medium white head. A bit sour, malt and caramel aroma, because of the Vienna malt. It has heavyer body and more creamy texture than a classic Pilsner. A bit sour, Pils taste. Average carbonation and malt, caramel finish. More creamy and rich than a Bohemian Pilsner, but also not so hoppy. Delicious one.

Roublard (218) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 29, 2013
Bottled. Color is really impressive - reddish dark golden honey amber with unstable and quickly vanishing white foam. Very interesting taste - starts with a bit bitter and well carbonized shot, then it is stabilized to some nuts malts notes and finishes by a bit dry and slightly hopped finish. Body is too thin, I’d say. Anyway, not too bad, nice beer, but with some lacks.

Borresteijn (7174) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 12, 2014
50cl Bottle from houseofbeer.nl. Clear golden amber colour, lighter than expected from a Polotmavy, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, red apples, yeast, some toffee, light grassy hops. Flavour is light to medium sweet, light malty, apples, pastry crust, just light fruity, some toffee, light yeasty, decent bitter grassy finish. Light-bodied. OK stuff.

Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2015
(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 22 July 2015) Golden amber colour with frothy, of-white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, toast and hints of dried fruit. Malty, slightly roasted taste with toast, bread, some dried fruit and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite enjoyable.
