UT161217. On tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam. Nose is Cardboard liquor. Vodka chocolate liquor coffee. Medium sweet heavy bitter. Medium lasting roasty medium bittersweet heavy alcohol warmth. Full body oily nearly flat 657415

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with a tan colored head. Lots of barrel notes, whisky and alcohol in the aroma in front of some sweetish malt. Full body with a medium sweetness, a light bitterness and alcohol. Again a lots of whisky and woody notes in the flavor together with caramel, chocolate and dark fruits. Finishes woody and roasty with lots of whisky.

0,33l bottle at home shared by Sander, big thanks. BB 02/01/2022. black color, small coffee colored head. smells whisky, earthy, light peat, bit boozy, very nice smell. full body, no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes whisky, very earthy, some peat, licorice, dried fruits, light molasses. finishes lightly very balanced with notes of dried fruits, whisky and molasses. very nice one, boozy but overall great balance and still very smooth to drink.

33cl-fles van bij Bierhalle Deconinck te Vichte. U: Zwart met een dunne donkerbruine schuimkraag. G: Whisky, drop, chocolade en geroosterd. S: Zoet met een lichte moutbitterheid. Whisky, wat geroosterd en chocolade. Stevige alcoholwarmte. M: Volmondig, sticky en lichte carbonatie.

Gitzwart... komt totaal geen licht meer doorheen. Donker crèmekleurige schuimkraag Die snel weg is, mooie lacing.
Aroma: Dark roast, chocolade, zoetig, whisky, behoorlijk alcohol.
Smaak: Eerste slok is flink aanwezig..... stevige whisky kick, Vanille, oak, Fruitig, gedroogd fruit, karamel, honing. Donker geroosterde mout, chocolade, koffie. Ook een fruitig zuurtje van rode bes. Alcohol is stevig en natuurlijk merkbaar maar niet overheersend.
Volle body, weinig koolzuur, zacht vol romig en olieachtig mondgevoel, dry roast maar ook wat plakkerig zoet in de afdronk. Echt een bier om rustig van te genieten.

Bottle @ home. Black with a small beige head. Smells sweet, nutty (hazelnut), roasty, alcohol, boozy, oak. Tastes appelstroop, sweet, roasty, boozy, alcohol, hazelnut. Full body, soft carbo.

Quite the killer. Don’t open this one if you’re in a hurry.

Bottle shared at home courtesy of Maakun, thanks! Black with short lived head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Whiskey. Green apples, charcoal, salmiak, spicy booziness. Quite sweet and moderate bitter. Full body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared. Black with small light brown head. Soft sherry, light smoke, green apples, salty whisky, dark berries, dark chocolate, sweet soy sauce, light peat, vanilla, dried peach. Lots of different stuff going on. Quite sweet and medium bitter and light salty. Full bodied. Nice but a bit harsh and all over the place.

Drank 20-6-17 while writing. Very good beer! Quite heavy on the alcohol, also in taste. Taste is very balanced, the bourbon-ness is very, very present. Very full taste. Reminds me of Cuvee Delphine. A bit more whisky, I guess.
