To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the BeerTemple, we asked Robbert Uyleman of Brewery ’t Uiltje to make us an IPA for this special occasion! Dry-hopped to the bone, and as fresh as it can be! Straight from the tank into the kegs, transported with a refrigerated truck and into our own fridge, this IPA will never lose his bitter coolness before you start drinking...

On tap at Cause Beer loves Food, Amsterdam. Hazy dark golden with a small head. Aroma and taste of hops, some herbs, citrus and hints of orange. The body was almost full and the finish bitter.

Pours semi-clear orange amber with thin, vanishing off-white head. Nose is pine resin, baked onion, caramel. Taste is medium to heavy bitter and follows the nose. Long bitter finish. Medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. The bitterness leaves little room for the other flavours to express themselves. Or maybe my bottle was not that fresh...

Tap at Arendsnest. Unfiltered amber-orange body. Oily, resinous brewpub of 2006 quality. Not that impressive, and even less impressive that the bartender said it was his favorite IPA on. Drinkable, but sort of amateur. Unimpressive, bland, antiquated flavors...waste of good hops.

In short: robust DIPA.

Did i enjoy it: well, i had it.

Pours hazy dark gold with frothy off white head. Moderate head retention, some good lacing. Ripe fruit, peachy, apricot, bready, citrusy, licorice nose. Medium body, average to soft carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is quite bitter, fruity, robust, dry aftertaste. Good DIPA,.
