Benzai (16569) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 6, 2017
Bottle @ home. Red-brown color with a reddish glare, decent sized beige head. Aroma is malts, caramel, overripe fruity and slightly candy aromas. Taste malts, caramel, overripe fruits, somewhat boozy, hops in the distance. Hard to describe any better. Medium body and carbonation. Or maybe a bit in between average and medium. Anyway, I really like it, but beware of the high ABV!

langeveld12 (580) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 30, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2017 Lots of oak in this beer. Also whiskey giving a hint of peat and smokiness. red fruits, sweet fruits, caramel. Quite some hops, the beer finishes more bitter then one would expect from a barrel aged beer. Good!

Aroma: 8
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, wood, fruit, chocolate, roasted malts and hops.

Appearance: 5
Turbid/opaque dark orange/dark brown beer with a slight/medium beige head.

Taste/Palate: 9/5
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, wood, fruit, pine and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and hops.

Overall: 18
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Great amount of roasted malts for a Red Ale if you ask me, but I quite like it. Lovely hops that even bring some pine as well. Perfect appearance and palate combined with a great aroma.

Borresteijn (7412) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2017
33cl Bottle from Melgers. Reddish amber-brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, fruitcake, candy, wood. Flavour is sweet, candy, candied fruits, wood, booze, soft whisky, more wood in the bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Decent stuff but lacks depth, certainly not worth the high price tag.

TrefwoordPunk (1289) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark opaque with a small white head with very small bubbles and an aroma of cherries, sweet malts, toffee, vanilla, plums, booze, oak and some smooth whisky or bourbon. The taste is heavy sweet with a velvety mouthfeel and a both boozy, complex peaty/whiskey-like and slightly bitter finish.

tricksta_p (5024) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, strong oak, toffee, dried fruits, slight spicy notes, bit sugary, soft whiskey, marzipan, touch of vanilla, some mild alcohol. Flavour is sweet and light bitter with some booze. Body is medium to full. Sweet and a bit boozy (but not too much), with a lot of oak and sweet sugary malts. Nice one.
