(Cask at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2017) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black rye bread, dark chocolate, coffee and a balanced bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Uncomplicated, but tasty and well balanced dry stout. Nice one. kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 27, 2017
Cask at Arendsnest. Near black with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, dark malt and light overripe dark fruits. Flavour is light moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Light to medium bodied with flat carbonation. PotjeBier (3183) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 25, 2017
Cask (!) @ Arendsnest. Black color. Beige head with decent retention. Aroma’s: roasted, mocha, bitter chocolate. Retronasal it’s bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts. Flavor is lightly sweet, roasted. Light bodied. Rather low carbonation. Finish is roasty, a bit dry, light bitter. True to the style. Good.
