Draft 0.25l at Uiltje Brewery Haarlem, The Netherlands. 01.05.2017. Pour it dark color with small black head. Aroma roasted malt and light alcohol on the nose. Taste after first sip coffee, but later on sweet chocolate, light bitter hoppy notes, finish with roasted malt, leather and slightly licorice, after taste coffee, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, slick feel, average carbonation. Decent!

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Prima black IPA: hopig, rokerig, mout. Vol van smaak, met een mooie hoppige nasmaak met wat droptonen. Heerlijk!

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 26/07/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is charr, pine, liquorice, spice, cocoa nibs. Taste comprises chocolate, brown bread, liquorice, charr, spice, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA but perhaps lacking a touch of depth considering the ABV.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenneth. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan head. The aroma holds well toasted brown bread, mild cocoa, dried berries, wood. Light-medium sweet flavour with nice brown bread, toast, mellow toasted pine bitterness. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with some creamy chocolate, light roast, more toffee, brown bread. Solid.

Scopey (14992) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle care of Ken. It pours hazy reddish - brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate, candy, dried fruits, stewed orange and chocolate cake. The taste is bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, toasty, earthy roast, cocoa, orange peel, zesty, pithy, cola and not much else with a drying and toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty ok, but wouldn’t stand out in a crowd.
