Level 42 Bottleshare. Very hazy amber - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and mildly dry. Good fine carbonation. Nice fluffy creamy dark malts. Nice chocolate streak. Modest bitterness. Piney hop. Little fruits into a touch of orangey citrus. Light dry finish. Fluffy and flavoursome.
(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 30 July 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with liquorice, pine needles, coffee and a touch of mint. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, pine needles, mint, a touch of smoke and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Solid and well made black IPA. Very nice. ShivanDragon (4488) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2017

Bottle from Cotteridge. Colour is just off black with a thin tan head. Aroma roasted malt and chocolate. Taste sweet coffee and chocolate, light roasted bitter. Medium body. DijkBier (512) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - SEP 22, 2017
Bottle pours clear deep dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malts/bread/toast and chocolate, spicy; not very strong or rich. Taste is full bitter, light to medium sweet, with a long bitter aftertaste; tones of choco and coffee, light licorice, little dried fruits. Soft carbonation. Would have expected some more hops in the nose, but still an interesting beer with balance more going towards the bitter than the sweet.

Dark brown, orange hue, big foamy light brown head leaves full lacing. Aroma is earthy, liquorice sweets and some slight molasses. Body is smooth and slightly frothy with soft carbonantion. Taste is cola, spicy tequila and crushed mint, chalky with some booze showing up. Quite good. (6-4-7-4-15=3.6) tommann (3896) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2017
