Bottle from ShivanDragon. Many thanks! Brown/Black colour, creamy brown foam. Nose of red fruit, caramel, vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate. Very well balanced. Nice stout!

33cl bottle at Café de Toeter. Appearance: dark mahogany with medium beige head. Aroma: dark roasted malts, slight smoke, cherry, strawberry, earthy yeast and whisky. Taste: fairly high sweetness and bitterness. Notes of coffee, cherry, amaretto, dark chocolate, whisky and vanilla. Finish is long with notes of oak, chocolate and licorice. Quite boozy. Palate: heavy bodied, oily texture and soft, but decent carbonation

Style et résumé: Imperial stout fût de Isle of Arran.
Comment: Merci Patrick.
Note: 7+/10

(33 cl.

330ml bottle from trade with, I think, MonsterMagnet. Many thanks! Pours black with a cherry coke aroma. Taste bears fruitcake, coffee & woody peated notes. Smooth and rich. Nice.

Botle brought back from Amsterdam. Pours deep mahogany, almost black with a frothy beige head. Slightly sour aroma with some whisky smokiness. The taste is lightly sour and fruity too with light spice, wood, peat and quite a boozy whiskey finish. The body is quite thin. I was quite disappointed by this. Very little stout character coming through the whisky.

Bottle from angst. Moderate smokey and chocolate nose initially. Some fudge. Dark black with off white head. More smoke as it warms. Taste is moderate fruitiness like an apple thing or sumthing. Maybe cherry. Nice. I think the scotch is an interesting note.

Dark brown, close to black, with very little head. Smells sour and smokey, like a lambic stout. The taste is quite good, bitter, smoky, salty and sour, with notes of sour cherries, oak barrell, whisky, leather and fortunately very little peat. Smooth and oily texture, with little carbonation.

Tasting bij Mrk. Van de fles. Njam njam beetje veel whisky en kil en niet-soepel. Droog en stroef, bijzonder! Backlog from 2015/03/19.
