sjogro (5289) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2018
Shared from bottle at THT February 2018. Black with creamy tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, massive orange, candy orange with chocolate, maple in the bitterness. Moderate sweet and strong bitter. Full body, very strong. Taste is pretty good for a high alcohol project but I still hate the fucking amount of these releases lately. Stop it please! There’s other stuff for that!

Maakun (6980) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2018
Bottle shared at THT. Almost black with light brown head. Chocolate, strong orange peel, booze, licorice, those chocolate covered candied orange thinks, more booze, weird spices, marzipan, soft spices, light maple finish. Quite sweet with quite solid alcoholic bitterness. Thick syrupy body with boozy finish. Quite boozy but not bad.

Scopey (16562) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2018
Bottle at Bodney Towers - big thanks to Kenny. It pours near black with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, rocky road, chocolate cake, oily orange and Cointreau. The taste is slick, chewy, heavy, rocky road, earthy, oily, charred wood, chocolate, spice and some warming alcohol. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Boozy orange impy stout. Decent, if a touch heavy duty.

Theydon_Bois (21891) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2017
Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Kenny, 05/12/17. Pitch black with a well constructed tan head. Nose is chocolate, charr, spice, dark fruit rinds, cointreau, toffee, roast malts. Taste comprises toffee, fruit cake, moscavado sugar, booze tunes, chocolate, candied orange peel, spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent impy considering the hefty ABV ... it drinks pretty well !

December 2017 - Post Pig's Ear tasting at LKS. With thanks to Mad Mitch. Bottle as 'Uiltje Mind The Gap', 19.8%. Opaque black with a foamy brown head that leaves light lacing. Aroma is Terry's chocolate orange, marmalade. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is boozed up chocolates, dark vegan chocolate with orange infusion, earthy with a spicy booziness. Pretty interesting. (8-4-7-4-15=3.8)
