Pours a hazy dark amber with an off-white head and lacing. Malty aroma with a hint of caramel and vanilla. The flavor is malty with some smokiness, toasted malt and a burnt finish with some hop bitterness. There is a a medium full body that lingers on the tongue.

A very nice barleywine overall. Pours a beautiful deep red with a thick tan head. Smells of caramel, barley and other malts. Taste is thick and boozy, with caramel, vanilla, and a sharp, sweet finish. Had in the bottle. JFGrind (2071) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2015

DRaft. Amber/dark pour. This is definitely an american barleywine, super hoppy, feels like a double ipa with jsut loads of malt character, the two balance.

Possibly too fresh? This had a harshness I did not expect. Alcohol was forefront, more so than other barley wines I’ve enjoyed. Poured brown, with little head. Aroma’s of malt and alcohol. Flavor was slightly astringent, with more bitter than malt, and more alcohol burn. Finish could be smoother, again perhaps needing aging. nealblind (1976) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - JUN 11, 2015

Bottle. Murky orange-amber pour with a small rocky white head. Malt, dark fruit, toffee, and some nice hop assertiveness to offset the sweetness. Creamy but not heavy on the tongue. Good stuff.
