Velvet hammer here. Appearance is a large, long lasting, tan to cream-colored, thick head, plenty of lace, and a clear, dark amber hue. Aroma is leather, dark ripe fruit, dark malt, yeast, hops, and lumber. Flavor’s similar to nose, with sweet being up front and bitter heavy in the finish and just right carbonic tang to balance. Body is good, but the heavy bitter yields some coarseness. Ditto for the finish, with some off flavors, though overall, I’d definitely have, just not right away. A couple months at cellar temp has the expected results with less hop influence, while also allowing the exceptional texture to shine a bit more, +1 on Palate

12 fl oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Deep ruby-mahogany with a nice reddish-tan head. Rich, deep, lightly peppery malt, dark treacle and toffee, brown sugar and faint molasses, booze, green and resinous hops big, nice. Medium+ body with fine, relaxed carbonation. Deep, dark malt, resinous, peppery hops, brown sugar, dark dried fruitiness, so dark and spicy; sweet with big bitterness and a long, spicy / peppery finish. 12oz bottle, Seattle. Dark leathery mahogany, small foam. Cherry fruitness and roasty malt aroma. Ruddy, roasty body with a hint of alcohol and bite of hops. Dark grain, smoke and leather while still remaining pretty bright. Tasty beer.
