One of the most interesting looking beers I’ve ever seen...like some purple dye was mixed in to a cloudy blonde. Tart and cherry, though a bit heavier than you might like for the style, it’s not bad, and very drinkable. I also like the low abv. Would go well as a dessert beer. If you have a friend who wants to try a sour but is nervous about it, this more mild example might be a good idea. paultheguru (644) - Parker, Colorado, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Pours a bright reddish pink, with a light pink/white head. Good retention. Good sourness upfront, with more body than anticipated. Sours are generally thinner than this...notes of corn. Curious about the malt bill in this. Cherry notes take a while to show up with temperature. Almost light Jolly Rancher like. Overall, tart not sour. Expected more, but it could be a training beer for those not into full fledged sours. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUN 7, 2012
Corked 750 ml and served in my NB Worthy glass: Pours a ruby highlighted amber hue with very little head and lace but nice stream of tiny little bubbles. The aroma has notes of tart cherry, biscuity malt, mineral water, slight cardamom like spice vapours and a hint of lime too. The taste is acidic cherry and lime, some band-aid and acetone, far too much alcohol for something that is suppose to be only 5.7 ABV, oh and some minor pale and crystal malt too. The mouth feel is sprite and sharp, quite refreshing with a tannic pitty finish. Really, there are parts of the brew I really enjoy but it just does not come together harmoniously. Perhaps age will help add complexity and depth.. or perhaps not. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 1, 2012
Big thanks to dcschiller for this, thanks Dave. It pours cherry colored amber with tan looking head. The aroma offers up cherry fruit notes, semi bright semi tart yeastiness, spices and herbally nuances. The taste is similar as cherry meat mixes with a sparkling water sensation that creates brighter than expected notes heading into saison like spiciness and some yeast. This is crisp and fresh tasting with a pleasingly forward cherry fruitiness. Great summertime beer here. RSRIZZO (2019) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2012
750ml bottle poured into a Tulip at 42°. Color is a bright reddish amber with good carbonation and a fizzy head. Aroma of sour cherry and grain. It has a light body with a crisp fizzy mouth feel. Flavor is a mold tartness with only a hint of cherry. After taste is clean with just a hint of the tart hang on. Overall its a crisp, clean and easy drinking brew, but I was expecting a lot more being part of the Crooked line and for the price.

Maroon body and a fizzy light pink head. Aroma is dark cherry, toast, grahmn cracker. Fizzy fuller bodied and an average duration on the aftertaste. The flavor was weird and at times seemed more like an artificial soda cherry and other times had some decent sour cherry flavors. Perhaps some more time in the bottle will bring out more sourness. Dark red pour, Small white head, cherry aroma with some other minor tart, taste is not really sour just small tartness and cherry flavor. Unimpressed, and it was killed by the other sours in our tasting. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2012
750ml bottle-pours hazy amber with a disappearing offwhite head. Aroma is sour, light malt. Taste is sour cherry, funk, yeast, light/medium malt. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Bottle @ home, courtesy of arminjewell. JetsonFest II. Clear, a bit orangish, reddish appearance with a small white head. Smells like shit. Corny, pale macro, shitty fruity, nasty aroma. This smells like shit. Tangy, rancid cherry juice, corny, grainy, plastic, nasty fucking flavor. This is really rancid, horrible, horrible stuff. I have an extra bottle of this and I want to apologize to some unfortunate individual that will be receiving it in a trade in the near future. Sorry dude! arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Pour out of 750 mL bottle is clear red with thin white head that dissipates, aroma has notes of corn, grain, some slight cherry, slight mineral, crappy corn, hints of slight sour grain. Yuck. Tastes like sweet cherry and plastic, some slight grain and bitter sour notes, touch of nasty garbage. No way would I ever drink this again.
