Pours a luminous orb of orange-red with a lush, caramel cream head. Muted piny and citrus nose amidst gently soap atmosphere. Smooth, sweet, citrus-hoppy body with some pine notes and juicy, candied fruits. Seems a bit under-attenuated. Smooth, syrupy and sticky hop resin finish. mcberko (18097) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 15, 2013
750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark amber orange with a very large beige / tan head. Aroma brings out loads of tropical fruity notes, medium rye, and citrus hops. Very pungent flavours, full of grapefruit, moderate rye, and pungent citrus hops. Extremely well-rounded, with pungent rye and grapefruit. Finishes dry, with a fairly harsh astringency. The alcohol is somewhat noticeable, but not detracting in any way. Fairly lively carbonation, but it is fitting. Excellent stuff. BeerandBlues2 (13595) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours clear dark amber with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with light lacing. Aroma is spicy and earthy rye malt, ston fruit, pine, floral and resin hops. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with spicy rye malt, stone fruit and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. sonnycheeba (6126) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Bottle shared by beerandblues2. Pours bright amber/copper with a thick pillow of frothy beige head. Aroma is caramel and cereal malts, floral hops, vineous fruit, light toast, and some raisins. Flavor is balanced bready malts and fresh floral hops with some dark fruit esters and faint toast; dry finish with a touch of sweetness and bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. The intensity of flavor is modest, but there are subtle notes of orange and grapefruit zest with richness from malt. Booziness is more perceptible and seems higher than the 9.4% ABV. It seems more like a barleywine.

Bomber. Pours a beautiful clear mahogany with a VERY thick and rather fine-bubbled light tan head that hangs around for a bit and leaves some generous lacing. Though the head is thick, at least the bottle I got didn’t fizz like the champagne in the locker room of the team that just won the World Series. Aroma is not particularly strong, but does have tempting hoppy and rye notes. Flavor, though, bursts with rye, hoppy, malty, and subtle caramel and bitter notes. Very satisfying! Smooth, firm texture leaves behind a hoppy and rye finish that will have your lips a-smackin’. Get in cahoots with this ’un! madsberg (11773) - Søborg, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2013

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, lemons, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, dusty hops, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish. bbbeer (838) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Hazy yellow-orange with very large white head. Aroma malt and grapefruit. Medium body, slight alcohol, a bit sticky. Flavor is hoppy yet sweet, with citrus, flowers, malt. Comes off as a standard DIPA if more on the malty side. Good but probably won’t remember it.
