750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Bottled on 05/30/13. Looks good; a fairly transparent amberish orange with foamy head somewhere between off-white and light beige. Smells and tastes solid; malty and hoppy with a nice rye spice and mild tingle. Good, not great. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 30, 2013

750ml bottle, shared with caterwaul. Bottled 5/30/13... Really? This just arrived in the store on 7/25/13. Come on. Clear copper red / orange color. Thin beige off-white head. Nice, thicker, more full lace. Good rye and citrusy hops in the aroma. Piney, resiny, and spicy hop in the flavor, with some grapefruit citrus. Big spicy toasty caramel malt, but the hop flavor still dominates. Big bitter, spicy taste, light to moderate sweet, light hint of alcohol warmth. A lot of that rye malt. Complex and spicy, it’s much more interesting than your typical caramel malt. Bigger body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Love the big rye malt, resin, and citrusy hop. Big spicy flavors all around. Very rye-forward and very interesting.

Orange copper look. lots of carbonation with a dirty head. Hoppy bitter taste bursts all around, very West Coast with a thick syrupy mouthfeel. The finish can be described as cabbage-y which left a dirty taste which was dismiss-able. It’s refreshing in terms of taste but heavy in mouthfeel. Good beer overall and dwyerpg (6402) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 28, 2013
In general, I think these guys are underrated but others seem to agree with me on this beer. The lightest rye IPA in color I’ve seen. The flavor is also far less roasty tan other rye or black IPAs, which is nice. An extremely creamy head, yet overall it’s not all that exciting. Reasonably priced compared to other Crooked Uinta beers. Itzjerm (3112) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JUL 28, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2013 Near perfect hop aroma, start to finish. Very amazing head that last. Taste is very very hoppy, Excellent DIPA mouthfeel. This is a great beer for a hop head who likes a little resin. Very nice. If anything, a bit to syrupy.... TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JUL 28, 2013
Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Bottled on 05/30/13. Copper pour with a tall, dense tan head. Aroma is spicy and floral with citrus notes, rye, caramel and sweet malt. Taste is caramel, strong citrus, rye notes, spicy hops, floral hops and toasted malt. Body is medium with a strong, dense, fluffy carbonation. Finishes with more big citrus, spicy hops, caramel, toasted malt, grains, floral hops and light pine. bottleforager (3208) - Gray, Maine, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Pours a rich copper color with three fingers of sticky eggshell foam. The nose is spicy rye, grapefruit, caramel malt and a touch of boozy plastic. The palate follows the nose with ripe citrus notes that lead into sweet round caramel notes that slowly become spicy and bitter in the finish.
